5 Stars – A Bakersfield Favorite! Hon Ramen is hands down mine and my husband’s favorite spot for ramen and sushi in Bakersfield. The food is consistently amazing, and the customer service truly sets this place apart. We’re always warmly greeted as we walk in, and our server Richie is absolutely wonderful—friendly, attentive, and always happy to answer any questions. He makes sure our drinks are refilled before we even notice they’re low and checks in often to make sure we have everything we need. This kind of service, combined with the delicious food, keeps us coming back again and again. Highly recommend!

Rude white male employee with glasses tends to have an attitude before performing his duties he has a sour patch fave while doing so . I understand he doesnt meet ends meet but this is a sushi bar with high quality service and it was not decent prior to arriving and opening management needs to restart training employees

Hon Ramen is hands down one of the best Japanese restaurants I’ve ever been to. The atmosphere is warm, modern, and beautifully designed—perfect for both a casual meal or a special night out. The staff are super friendly, attentive, and make you feel genuinely welcomed the moment you walk in.
The ramen itself is next level—rich, flavorful broth with the perfect balance of depth and comfort, noodles cooked just right, and toppings that taste fresh and authentic. Every bite feels like it was crafted with care. I also tried some of their appetizers and sides, and everything was just as delicious.
If you’re looking for an authentic Japanese dining experience that feels both elevated and comforting, Hon Ramen is the place to be. I’ll definitely be coming back again and again!

The best ramen and sushi in Bakersfield! This is always my go to restaurant! The food is delicious, the environment is warm and welcoming, and the staff are very nice. I’ve had my birthday here twice because the the service is so welcoming and the food is unlike any other ramen places. Jenny has especially been exceptional in memorizing orders and being very friendly and interactive. I highly recommend the Hon Ramen and the baked salmon roll!
