So, everyone talks about their Prime Rib, and yeah, it’s amazing—but honestly, don’t sleep on the NY Strip. It’s perfectly seasoned, juicy, and cooked just right every time. The service here is top-notch—super friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and has that perfect “let’s sit, relax, and enjoy a great meal” vibe. Every visit feels like a little celebration. Prices are fair for the quality you get, and you can really tell they care about both the food and the experience. I left already planning my next visit. If you’re craving a steakhouse where the food is incredible, the staff is awesome, and the vibe is just right, Hungry Hunter Steakhouse is the place to be. Can’t recommend it enough!

Friendly staff from the moment you walk in. They open the door for you which makes you feel welcomed. Kaitlynn my server was great and attentive. Food was good went out of my comfort zone and tried something new and happy I did with a little help from Kaitlynn. If you're in Bakersfield or passing by since it is 3 minutes off the freeway. I recommend you stop by, prices are fair as well.

Ordered medium rare petite prime rib, one side was medium the other side well done and it was not an end cut, pretty bland not much flavor. Asparagus wow I had never seen asparagus so small I had over 50 spears on my plate and all were dry. Onion rings tasted frozen, served warm at best terrible. Waiter asked if I wanted to send it back I said no and asked if the prime rib and been put on a flat top to warm it up to serve temp. He said he didn’t think so. No offer to reduce the bill my buddy wanted a small filet with a wedge salad no sides. We were informed that they could not do that! So ordered a wedge and added on a small sirloin with it that was cooked a perfect med rare. Won’t be back, if this was the best prime rib in town that’s pretty sad. My 8os cut was 6 oz at best!

We had the pleasure of being served by Angeles, who was incredibly sweet and friendly. Throughout our meal, we didn't notice any lack of attention at all, but at the end, she graciously admitted that she may not have been as attentive as she could have been. To our surprise, she offered us a complimentary dessert as a thoughtful gesture. It was completely unexpected and very much appreciated!

We were extremely tired and hungry after traveling 9 hours . We sat in the bar area. Our server Zachary was there in seconds. His menu knowledge and upscale skills were remarkable . He was prompt,friendly ,knowledgeable and left us with all our needs filled. The food was amazing,from the salad made fresh tableside,to the perfectly cooked swordfish. My husband had the prime rib,that melted in his mouth. We were so full,but Zachary was still there to show us desserts.. we laughed there was no way we could eat another bite . We had the perfect experience, first time guests.

The food is all right–portions lean from okay to small, but certain items are fantastic, like their lamb and bread (that's all, really). I would not recommend their appetizers as they are honestly quite small portion-wise and a bit basic for what you pay for. Their desserts are lacking and a bit stale or old tasting, weirdly. My points off are mostly for the long wait to get food. The service otherwise was great, but on a relatively slow night, it took a while for my party's entrees to come out. The waitstaff are nice and seem to do their best, and are attentive. The ambience is really what you go here for.
This is great for Bakersfield, I guess, but it really could be a better experience with the time and food portions and quality. The portions are a letdown for the price and the food is not much to write home about.
