**Update**I've learned the pricing at this IHOP location is dictated by the franchisee. And I'm sure they based their high pricing on the lack of competition immediately adjacent to them. So, if you want a decent meal while traveling up/down CA, plan to stop in an actual city. Bakersfield has tons of restaurants and it's not that far off I-5 via the new Highway 58 and 99.************As many other reviewers have mentioned, the prices at this IHOP are remarkably high. The food is really good and the service was also good, but I probably wouldn’t come back here simply because of the high prices. For example, as of today, the price of a full stack of plain buttermilk pancakes at my local IHOP (outside Boston) is $10.49. The same item is $16.99 at this IHOP. For a family of four, after tip, you’re likely to pay somewhere close to $100. That’s kind of insane for an IHOP.

Solid IHOP location but I think there's some price gauging going on. Super pricey ($19 for two eggs, toast, hash browns and bacon), but maybe all ihops are that expensive now idk

Food is too expensive for an IHOP. Every item on the menu was $22 - $25. Haven't been to IHOP in over a decade. Not sure if these are the prices everywhere or just this location. Only the kids'menu was priced somewhat

It seems to be a popular restaurant where travelers on a long journey can have a quick meal and rest along the way. On the way from LA to San Francisco, I stopped for a moment to refill my gas tank, eat some food, use the restroom, and replenish my energy before leaving for my next destination.

This IHOP is great! Perfect stop on your road trip. We've stopped here a handful of times and have been greeted by a friendly staff and a clean atmosphere. The food is solid IHOP classics and came out quickly which is always helpful for our family of 4 (2 busy toddlers/2 tired adults). They have their own restrooms which were very clean and separate from the gas station next door! Highly recommend.

Probably the best IHOP I've been to in a decade. Food was fresh and hot, staff was super friendly. The new buttermilk biscuit offerings were really good and the Sausage was so amazing. Only downside was that they don't do the Swedish pancakes anymore.
Jesus, our waiter was fantastic! He was fast, friendly and efficient- I made sure to tell him that :). Food was good, too- I thought my strawberry waffles would be too sweet but it wasn't so 5 stars alone based on that. But wait, there's more! Our bacon, eggs and potatoes were delicious as well and there's nothing to complain about the food we ordered and not all Ihops are like this. I was surprised at how much we like our food and the place is clean as well! Thumbs up, Ihop!

Easily the cleanest nicest most well run friendliest IHOP in the entire state I have been to them all and most of them are bullshit it is absolutely amazing to me how nice this place is and how friendly the place is, and how good the food is I had nearly given up on the entire franchise please model the rest of the cooperation stores based off of this specific one located near a truckstop in the middle of nowhere I don't know how they are doing far better than everybody else but this is the example that should be followed. Go see Chantelle and Jessica for smiles
