Great place for food to go just like going to big restaurant but safer

This food is terrible and overpriced. Do not eat here, go to El Patio next door instead.

Just tried it and can't wait to go back. It was really good

We've been here three times. The first time was perfect. Four of us loved the flavors and nothing was left out. The second time was ok. Two family members ordered the same thing as the first time, but the flavors weren't the same. The third time, something just isn't right. Beans were left off of the meal and the other meals were lacking uniqness and flavors. So disappointing.

I love the Chimichanga! Shredded beef is always tender, no chunks of fat or gristle. It is Delicious!!!

They have a good solid lunch menu. We had the fajitas today and they were good, not over cooked and tender. I have had better but definitely not today. I’ll have to do these again. The service here is also very good!

They have a good salsa here that changes by the visit which tells me it is fresh. Tried the lunch burrito which is a load for lunch. The service is good and they take care of the customer here.

This is a new location and the reviews I am reading from a year ago aren't for this place. Ignore those! You may not see it easily off Hageman, but it is worth finding your way to it. The new place is spacious and nicely decorated. The staff are amazing! They are all friendly and on top of service. We asked for water when we ordered our drinks and unlike many restaurants, they brought the water right away instead of when they brought the drinks like many restaurants seem to do, which was great with the Bakersfield heat we came in from. Our drinks were never empty before asking if we wanted another, same with the chips and salsa, which are really good! I haven't eaten anything there that I don't like and honestly, we love Mexican food and can't find anyone who is decent anymore. Everyone seems to have lower mediocre food. If you are a cheapskate, don't go here. You get what you pay for. The prices are a bit higher, but you will notice that around town as the minimum wage has increased, however I have no problem paying more when you get the service and quality food that I get. They also opened a large bar, more like a night club, next door to the restaurant (which has a regular bar). We haven't been there though. They also have a nice outdoor area for dining, when it isn't so scalding hot in Bakersfield, I plan to try it. It seems the older restaurants are not really trying anymore, but Jacalito Grill definitely is! I strongly recommend this restaurant.

I have eaten here a couple of times. The lunch menu is somewhat limited but I have found the portions to be more than suitable for lunch and very tasty. The salsa varies daily based upon the ingredients which indicates to me it is fresh. The service is good and the place is very very clean in the dining area.

Been a year since I've eaten here. Used to be very good and reasonable. Disappointed with the food and prices seem to have risen significantly. (30%) The chicken burrito was definitely canned chicken, the taco was 90% lettuce with little meat. They need to get back to top notch product if they want my business back.
