Did a large catering order - per the menu I ordered per plate and thought it would come in to go containers 18 of them. So I did not order the utensils for $1 more. I picked up and they had it in trays, I commented that I thought it came in to go containers that I did not order a la carte meat and sides. Again I was told this is how catering comes. So I told the girl helping me that I needed plates then and she replied that I had to order them. I told her I would pay for them but I needed 18 plates. She said she could not because they had to be counted and wrapped in saran wrap. This was an order over $400 and she could not give me 18 plates or even ask the manager. I later call Lindsey the manager and I will say she was amazing. I let her know that I originally spoke with her and got an email to reach the owner because I was hoping to get a donation for a non profit organization or at least a discount but after 3 emails I got no response and asked my employer if they were willing to sponsor a dinner for this group and they gladly did it. Lindsey explained it is a small mom and pop restaurant and being this was during the business was already slow. I completely understand that but then reply to the email that unfortunately you can not help at this time. Just bad service all the way around.

Love this place! Im a little sad that the prices went up and the quantity went down a little but the quality is still top notch and the employees are always the nicest. I was eating there twice a week but had to cut it back to twice a month with the recession and all. If you want a great tasting meal (especially the salad lite) then this is a great place to stop. As I mentioned, the employees are nice, respectful, and do their best to make you feel welcome. They have a nice patio you can on as well for those pleasant days outside.

I had 1/2 deep pit sandwich with salad.it was taken to my table for me. I was surprised how small my half sandwich. It was the length of my thumb and a tablespoon spoon of meat. The salad was very generous.

Thank you Jake's Tex Mex for coming to my Rescue last night when you didn't have to. Needing to feed a family with a daughter just out of surgery & myself as well you came to my aide. It also helps THAT YOUR FOOD IS OUTSTANDING & my patient was so extremely happy to see Jack's cake & I threw in the Lemon šŸ‹ cake as well. Forever indebted, Kasey Jo

If you haven’t been here before you have been missing out... Jake’s has food you wish you could make.
If you are a beginner try the taco salad with beef and chicken add the salsa and BBQ sauce, trust me, it is a crowd pleaser!

Came in tonight with a party of three, we ordered a tri-tip sandwich, taco salad and quesadilla. Tri-tip is smoked and is the best around, (thanks Skip). Taco salad is just outstanding! Our light eater said the quesadilla was marvelous. Tri-tip sandwiches are delicious.
Jake’s is highly recommended and be sure to save room for their chocolate cake... it is the best, you will see why they also sell it by the big platter for parties .

We used to visit Jake’s regularly, but then the prices kept going up and up. As usual, the food was tasty; however, the chicken in my taco salad and my husband’s regular burrito tasted off, and sure enough before we got home we both had diarrhea. In addition, I was staggered by the price: $51 for a taco salad, a regular burrito, 2 pieces of cake, and 2 regular sodas. I find this horribly expensive for a cafeteria. They have constantly raised their prices in the past 2 years. I doubt that we will be going back. They aren’t the only place in town.

Have passed this place on several occasions and decided to stop and give them a try. Got the garlic chicken and potato casserole as well as the wimpy chili. All the food was really good and delicious. So glad I stopped and tried the food. Place was really nice with a nice family vibe and great decor. Staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely give them a try

We’ve been coming to Jake’s for years but this might take the cake. Spent nearly $60 on 3 tri tip plates with 2 sides. The portions have gotten smaller definitely ain’t worth the price. Won’t be back.

This is not anything close to Tex Mex. Tri Tip isn't even a thing in Texas. You all need to learn to cut the Tri Tip against the grain so your clients can bite and chew it. After ordering and paying $50.00 for a lunch for 2, we couldn't eat it. The rest of the food was just ok. The manager really didn't care.
