Very loud, trashy environment ( DO NOT GO HERE FOR DATE NIGHT!) it's so dark. You can barely see your menu.People were usingflashlights on their phones...Drunk loud people, waitresses uniforms are really inappropriate/TACKY!
IT'S LIKE A CHEESY VEGAS DIVE BAR The potatoes they serve with the steak are FROZEN, the dinner salad was literally just salad and dressing. WAY OVER PRICED FOR THE TRASHY ENVIRONMENT...ARE YOU GUYS KIDDING ..$92.00 FOR A STEAK AND LOBSTER! YOU NEED TO REMODEL AND CLASSY IT UP FOR THOSE PRICES.
If you're a perverted old dude that just wants to go drink and look up the waitress's skirts when they bend over. This is the place for you!
Sharing details regarding my experience.
My wife and I drove to Bakersfield to meet our four month old granddaughter. My son moved there from Long Beach and started his family approximately one year ago.
This was our first time there. Thanks to the City Manager David Lyman, I learn were the city obtained its name. From. Col. Thomas Baker who settled in the area. He let weary travelers know they could stop and rest. Rest themselves and rest their animals. The word got out and the word spread that everyone was welcome to stop and rest in Baker's Field. So the name caught on.
Prior to getting there, I did my research and found KC Steak House. It was even recommended by Guy Fieri as one of seven favorite and popular locations in the city.
I wanted a special location for such a special gathering and wanted to enjoy great food with my loves ones.
We drove there on Saturday, 10/5/2024, and arrived at approximately 1700 hours (5 P.M.). Four adults and a child in a car seat walked up to the front door of the restaurant. My wife walked in first and I walked in last. I could not help to notice the darkness in the restaurant - it looked as if I had walked back in time into a speakeasy. Nothing wrong with the ambience since we know what we were walking into due to seeing photos on line.
My wife asked the front hostess for a table. To our surprise we were advise unless we had a reservation there were no open tables until 2000 hours (8 P.M.). There was nothing mentioned about reservations on their website. She even said we could come back, at 8 P.M., to check and see if any tables would be available.
Wow, we ended up leaving the location. Now, customers do not remember what was said but they will always remember how you make them feel. We did not have a chance to taste their food but as for customer experience and service at the front door they sure made me feel dumb! As if I should have known this. How dare do I walk in with out a reservation.
I ended taking my family to Texas Roadhouse. Were the staff was friendlier and their customer experience did not disappoint. Their food was A+.
So make sure you make a reservation before going to this place.
We will be coming out to Bakersfield two times a year until they move back home but none to KC Steak House! Even if we make reservations.

The food is amazing every single time! No complaints ever, it’s our favorite date night spot, and the drinks are always so good. I usually get the Raspberry Lemon Drop, highly recommend!

Went there to celebrate my father in laws birthday. Waitress was very rude and pushy. I'm not sure but I'm guessing she may have been frustrated because we didn't order alcohol. Anyway we had 5oclock reservation and at 5:20 we were told that we had to order now because they were busy. We were celebrating and talking, we weren't ready to order. Waitress also refused to split tickets the way we wanted. Was wondering the whole time why she was so rude and pushy, then when we got the check, we saw that tip was already included in bill. My family and I will not be going back

Fantastic steak house in all respects. Devoured the ribeye. Enjoyed our after dinner time in the speakeasy. Intimate with live music, an extremely talented woman on acoustic guitar. Couldn't be better.
