No menu so that's fun. The food was passable. I've had better and had much worse. The decor was nice so 3 stars.Parking: In a shopping center so lots of people.

Love the sushi, workers are always friendly and the owner is always there making sure everyone’s happy, always cleanEdit- came back after a couple of years and hate to say but the place is going down hill, workers are rude and unprofessional and the service is slow even if you’re the only people in there. Used to feel like fine dining now it’s kinda trashy and dirty food is still decent but you can tell the sushi is rushed

Was given a gift card to this location and was excited to try but unfortunately I would not return nor recommend. The sushi was just not good, very bland and smallest portions I've ever seen (I wish I had a photo but it really wasn't photo worthy). The ambiance was probably the worst, for whatever reason we were seated at a table near the bar area where there were a bunch of drunk people walking around and bumping into my chair, it was a very uncomfortable experience.

Normally only have good things to say about this place.. and we love the food which is why we always come back. Today was different, we called in and were told it was a 30-45 minute wait and when we arrive we're told an hour wait so we wait. An hour goes by and we're finally seated. We already know what we're having and are about to place our order with the server who tells us they are backed up 45 minutes to an hour for teppan. We would've appreciated knowing prior to waiting an hour but instead we're told after we've already waited an hour. My husband and I walked out and that's a first for us, ever. In the future please inform your patrons of the wait time for their meal. This is ridiculous.

Glad this place is an option here in Bakersfield. Made reservations here , especially since it was Valentine's Day. Recommend reservations for sure either way; holiday or non. The sushi tasted fresh. The chef was awesome; did a lot of tricks that were entertaining. Loved his choo choo train sounds and demonstration. Food cooked exactly as you order , especially the meat. Add jalapeños to ur fried rice; gives it a nice little kick with ur meal. Very filling meal; ask for containers for ur leftovers. Taste good the next day also. They add gratuity automatically on ur bill; so check that out closely. Nice size shrimp; not them itty bitty ones where you have to eat a few at a time to think you ate one piece. It can be causal or fancy if you please. I would recommend they ask u if you want more sauces, for your food though before they take off to the next table.

I would like to start off by saying if you are a person of color DO NOT COME HERE. You will be ignored & looked at from head to toe by the host. I called one day in advance to make a reservation and I arrive 20 minutes before to make sure I’m there in time. Once I arrived the host ignores me and walks away, when she comes back she is just starring without saying a word. I tell her I made a reservation and she just ignores me, I repeat myself and she says what is your name. After giving her my name she checks the list and says as soon as a table is ready you will be called. One hour passes and I go back and ask her if I am next & mind you it’s been over one hour since my reservation time and she only rolls her eyes and says we are still waiting for a table. I brought my family here to celebrate my father’s birthday and we were waiting outside for two hours in the cold & they never called me inside to let me know a table was ready. I had to leave as it started raining and I had my elderly father with me and my young children. I wish we never experienced this especially on my father’s birthday. I wish I can give 0 stars. I will never come back to this restaurant.

I have no idea why this place is full of people? We got there 40 minutes before our reservation, when the time came we were told 10-20 minutes more and ended up waiting another hour! The HOSTESS was racist and so rude rolling her eyes and didn't have the most minimum respect of looking at us in the face when we asked her a question, so ridiculous how we still have to put up with these type of people!! anyways we were at this place waiting for 2 hours! we went for the experience they offer and they ended up telling us that they had a table away from what we asked for! these people most definitely have a preference. I would stay away

To start off, service was horrible. The food was ehhh, Panda Express has better teriyaki chicken. The portions are small and food is overpriced. Don’t recommend. I Love sushi is way better. The atmosphere is very odd, the atmosphere doesn’t feel very welcoming for people of color.

I'll tell ya for free, this place used to not be my jam, but I'm a convert and now LOVE IT. Drinks are tasty and well poured, huge appetizer list, tons of yummy sushi, and you can order teppan AT A TABLE. GAME-CHANGER. We are frequent teppan eaters but after 20 years of it, watching the same tricks and acting excited isn't enjoyable. We want to be able to eat the food without the show, and you can here!!! Protip- ask for some mustard sauce to be cooked in with the fried rice, you won't be sorry!! We are also super thrilled that they have scallops as an option and they were cooked perfectly!! I will say that I will be passing in the garlic tuna carpaccio... definitely was nothing to write home about and isn't worth the money. Man..... now I'm salivating thinking about eating there!

Great atmosphere, looks clean and friendly service. They do ask about reservations, but usually have room in the patio. Food has a great presentation but missing some flavor. When coming here you are paying for the atmosphere mostly

"Communication Chaos: A seasoned Old Restaurant That Needs to Talk" So, we decided to check out this restaurant that's been around for a number of years, thinking they've got their act together. Boy, was I wrong! The whole experience felt like a comedy of errors, all thanks to their unprofessional communication mess. First off, you'd expect a place with a number of years under its belt to have staff who can talk to each other, right? Wrong. It was like watching a sitcom with waiters and chefs on different wavelengths. Orders were brought at different times and the kicker was my meal never came! The poor waitstaff seemed lost, stumbling through explanations on why my dish was never prepared, like they'd never had a busy night. When I tried to get some clarity on my meal. Blank stares and vague responses left me scratching my head. I thought, "Come on, you've been doing this for a very long time- get your act together!" In the end, it felt like the restaurant's age was working against it rather than in its favor. You'd think after all these years, they'd have figured out how to communicate within their own kitchen. Apparently not. So, if you're looking for a place with great food but don't mind the chaos and confusion, this restaurant might be your jam. But if you value a smooth dining experience where the staff knows what's happening, you might want to look elsewhere. Kanpai been in the game doesn't mean much if you can't get your team to talk and serve a meal without the drama. I would like to thank downtown McDonald for their their superb adult 10 piece chicken nugget happy meal. It fulfilled my night!!!

When we dined here, I had a tiger roll in my husband had a baked roll. These meals were good, but the portions were kind of small.
