Kwality Ice Cream & Chaat Corner

First visit and as someone not of Indian Culture but really loves to learn and experience the little bit I can find, this place was super nice. I loved the wall decorations/posters and while waiting for my food I looked up everything. Probably wasn’t the goal of the restaurant but “Honk Ok Please” and the ”Diet naho payega” are now things I will be saying. I 100% spent 15 mins learning about both sayings and found a deep appreciation for what I found. I also now have a laundry list of movies to watch (starting with Umrao Jaan)— ASIDE FROM THAT, they have a lot of food I have never had and I will def be back to try it all.

I did the thing(ordered samosas and butter chicken) and I was not disappointed. I asked if they could make it spicier and boy oh boy it was spicy (but I do think it could have been a touch spicier). The samosas here will be my new comfort food, it was a beautiful balance of spice, potato, and fried dough. I wish I had got the naan for my butter chicken and maybe had some rice but over all— delicious. The ice cream was creamy and just good. Not too sweet, not too much, very well balanced.

The staff was very soft spoken which made it a little difficult to hear them because it was a bit loud (because there were customers and music. Not a bad thing) but def worth another trip. Plus you’ll be supporting local. ? thank you for the experience ??

Vegetarian options: Their dishes are CLEARLY marked for what is vegetarian. Dishes that have meat (Fish, Chicken, Lamb exc.) are directly in the name. Easy pickings.

Parking: Its a shared parking lot with Sprouts, Carl’s Jr and a few other businesses but there is plenty to choose from!

Best Indian spot in Bakersfield

I use to go here for Chole bhatura because it’s a vegetarian restaurant.
recently I visited there last week.
Felt like raw and filty taste of fish in bhatura and staff behavior was weird.
They need be more concerned about peoples health.

The food was very nice I come with my parent and with my relatives and the atmosphere is so good having music vibe My favourite is veggie burger and the staff behevior was also very nice everytime I come with my parents and I love the food and love the restaurant.

Ordered a veggie burger today for takeout and found a steel wire in it. The wire was sharp enough to cut my mouth or tongue . Cudnt enjoy my food after dat. There should not be any compromise on quality of food and safety of the customer when u r paying enough for it.

Customer service was alright but the quantity of food is not too good.

Love their food , but most importantly I appreciate their bakery service, I always order cake at a time. And they never disappoint. Send them picture and get exactly same. Manpreet is really good at cake making. Must try.

I recently visited kwality ice cream and restaurant and while the atmosphere was pleasant, I found the food to be somewhat underwhelming. The dishes, though presented nicely, lacked the depth of flavor I was hoping for. With a few adjustments, I'm sure the food could shine.

Unfortunately, the customer service didn't quite meet expectations either. There were delays in getting our order and the staff seemed a bit inattentive, which took away from the overall experience. Didn’t greet me when walking in and didn’t ask if we wanted refill, In fact I think they didn’t talk to me the whole time I was there until it was time to pay then she responded with a simple “thank you”

That said, I believe the restaurant has potential, However it will need a bit more attention to flavor and service, it could become a great spot.
