Golden Cabin Mexican Restaurant

Aside from a guy rolling a trash can through the lobby, while food was being served to the 3 other people there, the place was clean. Besides that. The food was mediocre, (bland) 3 different people at our table ordered the exact same style of eggs to be cooked, medium, and we all got 3 different style eggs. All overcooked, and still had the nerve to serve it even though it was clearly broken yoked, and hard. The waitress spent more time at the cooks window talking than she did on the customer's. No refills on drinks were even offered no extra napkins were offered, dirty silverware, I asked for double beans with NO RICE and still got rice. The crazy part is, there were only 3 other people, total! They were not busy. I'm very disappointed with this place, I will NOT be back. I suggest you go elsewhere as well.

Unless we went into another restaurant by mistake. It's not called Golden cabin.
It's called CASA MARIACHI.
As soon as you enter, the place felt welcoming with the tables set up celebrating Mother's Day with a Ballon on each table.
For starters the chips and salsa are homemade and the flavor was AMAZINGLY delicious.
My wife ordered green CHILAQUILES that she enjoyed very much with two over easy eggs, refried beans and rice (I kinda helped her with the rice because I like rice alot). I ordered beef birrria. It had plenty of meat and the plate was big enough that I couldn't finish it.
Anytime we are back in the area of Bakersfield we'll come back and try something else.

The best Mexican food I have ever had in my life. I had the molcajete with shrimp, chicken and steak in addition to birria taco with soup broth for dipping. Absolutely phenomenal!

It’s not called Golden cabin anymore. It has a different name, again. I liked going there for over 20 years when it was La Cabana. I don’t know what happened. Was ok with it as Golden cabin because the food was the same. Now it has a different name and the food is a thumbs down. Store bought taco shells and the chicken in my taco was horrible. Hate being negative..but won’t be going back.

The Golden Cabin Mexican Restaurant is under new ownership and they have got all the elements just right: rood, drinks, atmosphere, staff and location.
The atmosphere is very cozy: dim lighting, low background noise, hanging stained glass lamp.
The food ishes are incredibly delicious. They don't taste like they have a bunch of salt and fat. The guacamole is made fresh. The restaurant features regular and vegetarian options.
There is plenty of parking in the buildings parking lot.
The staff is incredibly nice, and can answer any menu questions you may have.
I highly recommend this family owned business.

Great nice little Mexican breakfast/brunch/lunch spot. I got the biscuits and gravy(one of my favorite breakfasts) Nothing fancy about the food, just good and simple. They have a good recipe and follow it well. Clean space, nice staff.

My husband and I are here because it says OPEN and door is locked. I looked it up before driving here and it’s taco Tuesday and it does say I was open today. Surprise! Surprise! It’s closed

The food was bland I would not be spending anymore money here. I was not satisfied at all. When you post be honest because the it help others know how the environment is.
