Marie Callender's Restaurant & Bakery

Bakersfield, CA. Dinner was very good and it happened to be Free Pie Monday so we all got a free piece of pie after dinner.

Can't go wrong with Marie Callender's

Definitely didn't live up is reputation, success. I should have known by the terrible frozen stuff in the supermarket. Breakfast was acceptable at best. My yardstick is Cracker Barrel. This is about 5/10 compared.

I would suggest going to the other one in town. Service was slow, the food was good, bu the manager was practically yelling at a sever it was very uncomfortable to witness. I am also sure that if i could her her call her stupid under her breath so could the employee. I will no be returning to that location.

This location is not as good as California, California has a huge salad bar and this location does not it's so small only letus and watermelon. This location does not bake any oies or bakery fresh they receive it all from California ave!

I haven't been there in years, but the last time i went there: they had good teriyaki chicken sandwiches. Mhm mhm mhm tasty! 👍

I don't know how the food is, we've been waiting an hour to get it. I'm pretty disappointed right now. Yes... I understand it's Father's Day, but this is freaking ridiculous.

Just loved this place it was my family's first visit here and definitely pleasant experience I enjoyed what I ordered as did my wife and my granddaughter our hostess Mercedes was attentive and nice polite and funny , note for the manager employees like her are what make your business , and the next time we are in your area we will definitely be back .

Great fast service and fresh food. Great choice for brunch or dinner.

Not bad first time I've been to Marie Callender's for breakfast I will go back it had some different choices.

For an older place still really clean the food was excellent service was excellent price was very reasonable

Pregnant and queasy and wanted some potato cheese soup and salad bar. Since we were being treated to dinner we were taken to this one instead of the California Ave location. Walked in to several people at the front yet no greeting. The one shining moment was one of the ladies (maybe a manager?) gave us something to put in the window to block the sun which was considerate. Our waitress had absolutely no personality and couldnt hide her lack of excitement over having a job or serving us tonight. I ordered a sandwhich to-go for my lunch and added the soup and salad bar for my dinner. Our waitress didnt ask what soup I would like, didn't direct me to the salad bar or tell me where the plates were (I kept waiting for her to bring me one). She was hardly around and while we were waiting for our ticket disappeared for about 10-15 minutes. My soup was cold. The salad bar was tired and not at all what I was expecting compared to the California Ave location. All around it was a highly disappointing experience. This was my first time at this location and will definitely be my last. The only good thing about this one compared to the other location is how quiet it is, which was nice. Otherwise, it's almost worth the busy hustle and bustle to go to California Ave.
