This is now officially my favorite coffee house in Bakersfield. The decor and the serving trays etc are cute. The hot pistachio latte was delicious. My mom and I got different milks and she was able to have hers made less sweet to her preference. The Ma’amoul date filled butter cookie was a perfect little bite to go with it, sweet, but not too sweet, and crumbly that reminded me of my Moms shortbread cookies. We also tried a savory snack that I picked from their fresh baked display. It was very much like pie crust with mixed in spices. We sat for about an hour just enjoying a lovely place for a coffee and visit. There are a few games on a shelf if you like that. We used Google translate to find out what the arabic sayings on the wall said. Some were rather clever. If you order 32oz of one of their specialty teas or coffees, they bring it in a fabulous serving carafe. Super nice serving staff. I will definitely be back!

This place would have been a 5/5 for me, however the service is always very dull every time I go. That’s my only complaint. I almost feel not welcomed. The workers never smile or look happy to help you and take your order. They’re not rude by any means but they almost look like they’re in a bad mood. My friends that have gone also agree with that. Other than that everything else is great.

Such a lovely cafe with very tasty small bites. The Nutella croissant was delightful! I love the atmosphere. It feels luxurious which isn't common in Bakersfield. My 6yo daughter gives it 5 stars as well. Enjoy the teas, they're unique and tasty. Lastly, the staff is friendly and helpful, especially in navigating the menu.

I’m a big fan of Turkish coffee so I came to check this place out and got way more than what I bargained for.

Started off with the Turkish coffee, which was authentic and perfectly balanced with sweet dates. The Adeni tea is rich and flavorful, not too sweet. The tea pairs great with the honeycomb bread. If you’re looking for something sweeter, try the basboosa with pistachio drizzle or baklawa. Ended up trying a bunch of things and taking them to go for later.

They have other types of baklawa so you can choose between peanuts or mixed nuts, or classic pistachio. We didn’t leave a stray crumb when it came to the butter cookies. They come as plain and date-filled. The butter cookies are flaky and delicious. They melt in your mouth so don’t try to dip them in your tea.

Last but not least, we tried the ka’ak and this was not sweet, but had a nice crunchy outside and flaky inside. So if you’re looking for a low sugar option the ka’ak is gold!

Employees were courteous and didn’t mess up our order. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. You could pop in for a to-go order or take your time sitting inside the shop enjoying your drinks and sweet bites. They won’t rush you. Actually, they offered us a sampling of an off-menu item: mango smoothie. It was thick and creamy like a milkshake, but refreshingly fruity of course.

Check this place out if you’re looking for a new spot for your caffeine or sugar fix!
