Start off by saying the house love sushi roll was simple good. The downsides the main course was lousy to say the least with the obvious being how all the food is smothered onto one plate. The chicken and likely the beef was reheated in the microwave, which is not acceptable in any restaurant. The chicken not including the teriyaki sauce they smother it in has no other flavors with the chicken having cold spots likely because microwave and you can taste it. The beef definitely was cheap cuts mostly muscle unchewable overcooked definitely didn't eat that. Also tried the california rolls and even though the rice is not the best the main reason to order the california rolls usually is for the avocado and that barely even came with any, almost none I would look for another sushi place in Bakersfield, this ain't it.

The place looks totally different than when it was toro. The decor is modern and nice. The sushi is so good and the staff is great. Our server “Jelly” was the sweetest and her husband is an amazing sushi chef. Definitely recommend

Great spot for date night or a quick lunch. I’ve been to love sushi a few times, and have tried the bentos, ramen and the sashimi. This has quickly become one of my favorite spots. Super fast service! The owner is very personable, and you can tell they take great care when they make their food. The mexican roll and the spicy baked salmon rolls are my two favorite things to order at the moment. The servers are also all great, and have walked me through the menu when I couldn’t decide what to order. I would highly recommend this place!
Very lovely place, friendly waitress and staff! I am someone who enjoys the freshness and quality of meat by itself, and the salmon roll I got was by far my favorite during my stay at Bakersfield. It gave me the rich taste of salmon while being succulent and did not have a fishy aftertaste. The quality of their ingredients surprised me, I will be back for the nigiri since their salmon roll was that impressive.

Cannot say enough good things about this place! Food was immaculate, and customer service was unparalleled. I will be returning to eat here every time I visit Bakersfield from now on. Jin Seok was phenominal in preparing the sushi dishes, and Hector was extremely accommodating and welcoming. Don't miss out on this diamond in the rough!
