We had my daughter's celebration of life there yesterday and the owners and staff bent over backwards to help us and made it run so smoothly. I highly recommend this venue. Two thumbs up and five stars! Thank you so much Misty!

The food was decent, we went on a Saturday for lunch and it was too noisy.

Love historical places like this and the food is good
I'm not sure if it's just historical looking but I still like the place

Unfortunately, on taco Tuesday, they ran out of tacos. Fortunately, the sampler platter and the Buffalo burger were top-notch.

Our last days in the states after a long journey of 3 months and we found a typical bar with crazy charm...

Ordered a chili size and a salad. Runny watery chili. Very soggy chili size. The blue cheese dressing was watered down and had no flavor. We used to love this place as a destination for lunch. Very disappointed.

Very disappointed, this has been a long time stop for us for many years since the original owner. Unfortunately it’s gone down hill, we went recently order a few drinks and a sample platter $16 for a paper plate with a little bit of stuff and two dipping sauce, and the the beer was warm. Cashing out and they charged us wrong, and then they charge a .50 fee per drink for the outside band, what the heck? We were inside and order food, didn’t even listen to the band outside in 107 degree weather. It’s to bad, another Bakersfield hang out down the dumps, cause they want to have hidden fees to pay for a band they hired and then not disclose the band fee per drink. Just a fair warning to others

Just try anything on their menu from a patty melt to their steak and you will enjoy it. And of course they have a wonderful Taco Tuesday. It's off the beaten path but it does not take long to get there.

Fun little spot! We went for Taco Tuesday + to see the live music. The band was so fun and made the venue come to life! The food was solid, definitely a good deal for taco Tuesday. It took a longgggggg time for our food to be delivered—almost an hour from when we ordered. I didn’t notice as much because I was enjoying the music, but that was really the only thing I thought could have been better. Definitely a cool spot—I loved the vibe and that so many people there were regulars. We’ll be back!

If you like your burger cooked first thing in the morning and then put in water all day to keep it JUICY,this is the place for you. That's why there'd no flavor.
