Old River Grill at Riverlakes

Hi, I went here for breakfast but the woman up at the front who seats people was extremely rude to me. Long story short, I was about to put my name down. I had just got done drinking my coffee (from elsewhere), so I had my empty cups in my hand to throw away. I threw them in their trash can only to hear this women immediately snap at me that "that was not the trash can." I never have been treated so rudely by a hostess in my life. I immediately asked to speak to the manager who was very kind. The manager wanted to reassure me that this would not happen again. At that point, I had made up my mind not to eat there. Strangely, I was assured that this was a bus lady and would not have handled my food if I ate there. Nonetheless, I decided to go elsewhere. The manager did assure me that this "bus lady" was wrong because that was the garbage can. It is a blessing that I did not eat there because Smitten (just a few miles away) turned out to be such a great experience. Sorry but if you choose to treat your potential customers like trash, trust me they probably will walk themselves out to the door and drive to Smitten. I don't regret going to Smitten because they are top quality, friendly, clean, and buy high quality ingredients. The Greek eggs were phenomenal! If I could give Old River Grill zero stars I would. 😟

I ordered my food I ate half had two sips of my coffee and waitress brought check and asked if I wanted a box. I said yes. I then realized I had to use the ladies room. So I didn't want to leave bill on the table , so I got up to see if I can pay it and expressed i need to use the restroom.
Came out and the table was cleared , so 35 bucks for five bites and two sips of coffee. Fine it's OK, lesson learned. When I got in my car , I thought to myself, I should ask for a coffee to go. When I reenter the restaurant all five employees turned there back and walked away. So now I know that they have realized they shouldn't of cleared my food. Oh and by the way my to go box lid was opened on the table and I hadn't filled it yet, so.....it clearly looked like I was returning to the table.
Anyways they turned there backs and finally was supposed to be the mngr came up to me with a very aggressive stance and said ,"What!"
I said, "Could I please get a coffee to go , I didn't get a chance to drink mine" she turned away found my waitress and told her to make me a cup.
The waitress didn't say anything to me and handed me my cup.
I could understand this type of behavior if I was trouble or if I was complaining, but I didn't and shame shame shame on how the staff and there lead waitress/Mngr treated me

I took my daughter her this past Saturday for a mom and daughter date and everything about it was great. My servers were Tracy and Elana and they both had the best personalities and made sure we were taken care of. Our food was delicious as well. We will be returning!

Has a diner feel. Service was Stellar, first rate!!! We had breakfast. Portions were large. It was not the best breakfast spot I've been to, but it was good.

Dietary restrictions: I am on a low fat diet. I was able to get a decent egg white omelet and whole wheat toast.

My mom and I frequent this place and we have never had anything less then a 5 star experience! The food is always so good. We usually come during the week so seating is ample but on weekends they do get busy.

Seating is both outside and inside. Service is quick and always ensuring we had everything we need.

I look forward to coming here again! Service was great and it was easy to find parking.
