It's a small place, the food is okay, the waitress wasn't friendly, they can improve.

I enjoyed my first visit here.

Love Old River, come here all the time with family and friends for the great food and wonderful service. They have pretty big portions so plan to take some food home if you each get a combo meal. But it’s super worth it to take left overs as the food is still super tasty at home. They have great service and are very tentative and helpful. They create nice bonds and make you feel very welcomed. Can’t wait to go back!

We were on the road to find a sandwich place and on memorial day we found the gem instead. The place did not disappoint. In May their menu offered special items so, I ordered the birria chilaquiles. My wife ordered chilango benedict which is a nice fusion of American breakfast with mexican flavors — its two sopes with carnitas with two poached eggs. We were stuffed. Son enjoyed my extra pancake but was picky about his gourmet kids burger (he’s used to the thin fast food type). 10/10. They even gave us a nice blackberry bread while we waited. Even the water was good!! A hard find. The decor was welcoming and well kept.

I wàs a regular here during my 4 day stay. Excellent and huge breakfast, great service and nice staff. They were also super quick to bring our food even on the busiest time of a Saturday morning.

We just finished a family breakfast a group of 12. The service was exceptional. We made multiple changes throughout the course of the meal and the service providers were able to make changes and provide hot entrees immediately. My server was Renee. He along with his team were able to help us out and make sure that everyone individually were satisfied with the service as well as the high quality food. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who has a high affection for quality food and service

Everything we ordered came wrong and they didn't have biscuits. It was sad because we really like the other location.

Great to have a family type restaurant in Bakersfield for dinner that has great food. Service was awesome …..ask for Sebastian. He’s the best!
