A server spilled a tray of food all over my mom’s back in 2008. My mom is the sweetest person in the world. The way they treated her was insane.. as if she was the problem. The staff and management were incredibly rude. They didn’t offer us towels or apologize at all. We left without ordering. Swore we’d never go back. Never have gone back and don’t plan to. It was the worst restaurant experience I have ever had and worst staff I’ve ever experienced. Nearly 20 years later and I still get upset thinking about it.

I recently had the pleasure of trying Outback Steakhouse’s Chicken on the Barbie, and it turned out to be one of those wonderfully satisfying dining experiences—simple, yet surprisingly delightful.
When the dish arrived, it immediately captured my attention with its enticing presentation: a beautifully grilled chicken breast, carefully adorned with those inviting char lines you only get from attentive grilling. The subtle smoky aroma wafting up from the plate immediately promised good things to come, reminiscent of warm evenings around a backyard grill.
Slicing into the chicken, I was pleased to discover tender, juicy meat beneath its nicely caramelized exterior. Every bite was consistently flavorful, reflecting careful preparation and seasoning that penetrated deeply, enhancing the natural juiciness of the chicken. It was evident that someone in the kitchen had taken genuine care in its preparation—nothing felt rushed or overlooked.
Adding to the experience was Outback’s signature barbecue sauce—just sweet enough to complement without overpowering the smoky, savory essence of the grilled chicken. With gentle notes of molasses, a mild tang, and the warmth of subtle spices, the sauce gracefully enhanced each bite.
My chosen sides—an oven-baked potato and freshly steamed broccoli—turned out to be excellent accompaniments. The potato arrived fluffy and piping hot, topped generously with butter and sour cream, offering a comforting, classic pairing that never disappoints. The broccoli, bright green and perfectly steamed, brought a welcome freshness and balanced the richer flavors of the chicken and potato. It was clear these sides had been prepared thoughtfully, rounding out the meal beautifully.
Throughout the dinner, the atmosphere at Outback added to my enjoyment—relaxed, welcoming, and comfortable. Our server was attentive without being intrusive, adding just the right touch of warmth and hospitality to make the entire dining experience feel relaxed and enjoyable.

We were on a road trip and stopped at this Outback. We sat at the bar and had the absolute BEST service!
Unfortunately, we didn't catch his name but he was attentive, nice, on top of clearing plates, drink refills and more. He even split our salad for us.
I haven't been to an outback in probably 20+ years but I would definitely go back to this one!
