This is like having lunch or dinner cooked by your grandparents...

It is quirky, honest and sometimes frustrating due to the wait as all the food is cooked to order. But what i can say is go and enjoy it - it is a husband and wife team who know how to cook really amazing food for real people.

Ask for the lentil soup - it isn't on the menu but it is often available.

This is one the gems of Bakersfield that is overlooked...

The MOST Authentic Mediterranean food I've ever had!

I'm saddened that I am unable to give more stars.

This restaurant is very clean and everyone at the Pita House was intentional about their service and product.

I will be returning.

The lady comes off as a little rude, but she is just that way I think because of the language barrier. She offered to add the dressing on the side, and we paid about $35 for two large Greek chicken salads. I will update on food quality later.

Update: the salad was horrible it was super salty and the vinegar taste was so strong. The only good thing was the bread bcs even the chicken tasted like shreks cheeks.
