Bakersfield Barbecue Co. is a must-visit destination for barbecue enthusiasts and casual diners alike. The moment you step through the doors, you're greeted by the mouthwatering aroma of slow-smoked meats that instantly whets your appetite. The rustic yet inviting atmosphere creates a perfect backdrop for enjoying a hearty meal with friends or family.
The menu offers a fantastic variety of options, but the star of the show is undoubtedly their smoked brisket, which is tender, flavorful, and expertly seasoned. Each bite melts in your mouth, showcasing the quality of the ingredients and the skill of the pitmaster. The pulled pork is equally impressive—smoky, juicy, and served with a side of their homemade barbecue sauce, it’s a true crowd-pleaser.
Bakersfield Barbecue Co. also excels in its side dishes, which are just as important as the main courses. The creamy coleslaw and tangy pickles provide the perfect balance to the rich meats, while their cornbread is a delightful treat that shouldn’t be missed.
Service here is friendly and attentive, adding to the overall experience. Whether you're dining in or taking out, the staff goes above and beyond to ensure you leave satisfied. With generous portions and reasonable prices, Bakersfield Barbecue Co. delivers excellent value without compromising on quality. Whether you're a barbecue aficionado or just looking for a delicious meal, this spot is sure to impress!

Food was very expensive for what it was very little food and not worth it in my opinion super disappointed. The ribs tasted like brown sugar the Tri Tip was dry and so was the turkey.the Mac and cheese was bland it was so bad it made me crave Salty’s. Save your money and just go to salty’s

This is one of those spots that don't care about customer service cuz their food is good. Don't expect restaurant service here. It's going to take a while to order, a while to get your order, and ribs will constantly be out of stock. You will also be dealing with a full staff who act like teenagers and would rather talk to each other than see if customers need anything.

The BBQ was great! We enjoyed the brisket and tri tip sandwich. The outdoor seating was fairly big and is dog friendly. The service, however, was not great, the lady wasn't very friendly. Aside from that, everything else was great!

First time here, and both food and service was great! I told them it was my first time here and they gave suggestions which I followed and was extremely happy with. The Pit Beef and Brisket were awesome 👏 I only had 4 bites of my food left but couldn't part with it so we took it to go lol

Definitely the best BBQ spots in the area. The bark and smoke ring on the brisket were on point. If I'm in the area and craving BBQ, I'll come here.

This was our first time at their new location. Food was really good. Brisket needes a little more seasoning but it was so tender. Everything else was stellar. Problem was rhe 40 minute wait to get our food. Two parties after us were getting refunds as we left. You can have great food but if your service is subpar you're doomed.

Restaurantji Recommends
Nice place. Less than stellar food. All fried stuff comes frozen, yes even the fried green tomatoes. Meat was smoked. I had pulled pork, tasted the smell I remember of slaughter house. Mac n cheese was creamy but basic similar to craft mac n cheese. Nothing above board except the price. People are nice so service was great.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I attended a beautiful wedding in Handford,Ca. Bakersfield Barecue Co catered the event. The food was amazing! Everyone raved about the food. It was so delicious, and there was plenty of it! Great job Brandon!
Small establishment with big potential. Came in super early so we had the pleasure of having the entire place too ourselves. Great choices for breakfast. Highly recommend the brisket burrito. Loved seeing the tribute too the fallen soldiers.
Kid-friendliness: Would not recommend for children as valuables/decorations may get damaged.

We try ribs all over town. My grandson gave them a 4 1/2 out of 5. I didn't care for the chili beans. They were too hot for me, but somebody who likes heat might like them. I got the baked potato, and it was huge with tritip and it was okay next time I'll try it with a different meat though. I love the atmosphere. They have country music playing, and it's relaxed. Indoor and outdoor seating picnic table style.

Very disappointed that they were CLOSED 1.5 HOURS BEFORE they are supposed to close. They had the “We are open” sign too. Guess I won’t go back if they don’t want new customers. I ended up going to Firestone Grill instead and they were happy to serve us with some excellent BBQ. Will definitely go back there.
