I went with our team from work. We really enjoyed everything from the service to the food. I was too hungry apparently to take any pics, but everything looked and tasted amazing!

Everything was great exalt my sons buffets were really hard and over cooked other than that the taco salad and the Chile Verde was delicious and tender had some Verde spice, definitely would order that again.

Came to Rancho to celebrate Father’s Day.
My husband got the buffet as i paid for my own plate. The manager Jose R accused us of both doing the buffet as i simply assisted my husband by carring his plate for a short second while he grabbed his utensils. The menudo was empty the whole time of our dining experience he only got to eat one small bowl and that is the main reason why my husband got the buffet.
The server Monica did not bring his mimosas that were included in a good timely mannor. We left before even getting his second glass.
We ended up paying and just leaving with the service we experienced very disappointed how they handled that situation. Last time we came to eat at Rancho Jose R was our server and we also experienced very poor service from him.. two times in a row!
Will not be going back to Rancho grande after today. Very sad since we love going there as it’s our neighborhood restaurant. Do better Jose R.

Do NOT waste your money here. The service was absolutely horrible. I pride myself on leaving tips, but from the moment we sat down the service was awful. He brought our kids waters, but us adults did not get our drinks until our food came..he knew what he was doing. I will never leave a tip if I receive awful service & he got a big ole’ goose egg and I explained that it was the worst service I’ve ever received & we love to go out and spoiler our servers for great service.. The blonde hostess was also so put out at the front & acted like she didn’t want to be there. The location and place is so cute, but the VIBES are so weird.. make your employees smile more if you want to run a business.
Read the Nextdoor reviews before wasting money on this place it’s awful!!! It is also way more expensive than many other Mexican places in Bakersfield

Don’t eat here if you’d like to get food poisoning! So upset because my toddler ate here as well and has puked three times. I have as well! Right when my family and I got home my son was the one who experienced the food poisoning firsthand since he threw up immediately at night. I hadn’t ate anything all day besides this place for dinner. The next day I was the one puking. I’m extremely upset because my son had his own kids plate too. This restaurant clearly isn’t properly handling food. I’m very disappointed and will never come back. Thank you for scarring my family and I from ever eating at a Mexican restaurant again. The cooks need to stop being lazy so this doesn’t happen to other people.

Chile relleno was very old, asked for a carne asada burrito and meat was in big chunks very hard and full on fat/skin. Was going to take a picture of the food when server took the plates away . Worst place to eat from

Would be MUCH better if they didn't seat families in the bar area when there's plenty of open space in the regular dining room..nothing like the sound of toddlers in a bar. 🙄
