It's a restaurant for the students to hone their skills at Bakersfield College. It's fine for what it is, and I get they are trying to help fund the program, but the price is too high for what it is.
I recommend going just for the experience.
I've ben here twice now very classy and enjoy the experience every time the dishes are always unique due to the culinairy students being the cooks and servers i even enjoy the reservation process

We had a fantastic dining experience at the renegade room. This was Basque food night and every dish we had from the soup and salad to the oxtail stew and dessert were fantastic. We also had a great server who took good care of us. The room was warm and cheery, and it was just a great experience.

Great food , great service , prices are reasonable.My wife & I, love Thursday night buffet.The students who are learning to be chefs are doing a incredible job .Someday this chefs to be will have their own great restaurants.
