Their antics behind the counter had me laughing as they also came to our table and made excellent recommendations for our dishes.The building is very clean. I am not one for Asian food normally. However, this restaurant was a home run.

Growing up, my best friend was Vietnamese and walking into Saigon reminded me so much of my childhood both in food and decor. The service was friendly and quick. The coffee was perfect, actually some of the best I've had; it was sweet and strong. The Bahn Mi was very delicious. The chicken was tender and moist with a good BBQ flavor. The pickled veggies were fresh, sweet, and crunchy. I appreciated the addition of tomato on the sandwich, which I don't see often. I am leaving off a star because, for my personal taste, the bun was a little too toasted and could have used more mayo. If you're looking for an inexpensive and authentic Vietnamese spot go to Saigon!

Saigon Resident is among the best in Bakersfield and the awards they’ve won in past years are well deserved. The staff is very attentive, generous and hospitable. Highly recommended.Vegetarian options: The vegetable phò is an excellent option.Parking: At night, it’s usually not a problem to find available parking. Parking during peak business hours might be a different story though.

The food is amazing, exactly what I was looking for, my family and I were looking for really good chicken Pho and after trying so many restaurants to see if we can find something comparable to "Oh Noodle" since they closed, and so far this is the closest match? loved the service and I love the boba drinks, the only thing I didn't like was that it was twice as expensive. At "Oh Noodle" I would spend around $35-$50 and here the total was $100 plus a $20 tip that we gave?Parking: Parking is very limited, you might struggle to find a spot but I parked in the street and the street had plenty of parkingKid-friendliness: Servers were friendly & patient when taking the kids ordersWheelchair accessibility: Not many obstacles for wheelchairs
