I’ve been eating at saltys for around 5 years , I wanted to show my friend from out of town the food , but unfortunately today , the brisket was mostly burnt pieces , I’ve never had this experience before . The Mac and cheese and chili beans were just like they’ve always been 🔥 but the main course was disappointing , I guess they don’t care about Uber eats orders as much as dine-in . I’ll attach some photos , I should’ve just gotten the tri-tip I guess . Time and money waisted 🥵

My mother is from San Antonio Texas so I know that brisket is supposed to be tender. The brisket was really hard. You can break a windshield with it.
Mac & cheese was great, Potato salad was good but mediocre, The chicken in my chicken sandwich was dry. Also, they need a microphone to let guest know their numbers that are sitting far away from the actual building. Can’t believe this place made it on TV.

I've been coming to Salty's for more than 4 years.. my last visit was horrible. The brisket was dried and super burnt. Sad to say, this would be my last time coming to Salty's.

Everything was good but the patato salad. Absolutely horrible. They need to rethink the recipe on thos one.

Everything was good except for the ribs. They were a little dry. I ordered a tri-tip and rib meal. The coleslaw was good. Service was fast and the experience was good. I recommend this place.

I live in Utah now and every time I come to Bakersfield I always have to get a pulled pork sandwich from Salty’s. Hands down best barbecue west of the

Bucket list checked off with the feeling of "just another BBQ place", the food was good but didnt give me that come back again taste.

The Mac n' cheese 🧀 had watered down cheese on spiral noodles 🤦. Sauce was spicy but that's all it was. Meats had little to no smoke flavor. Little disappointed 😥

For as much praise as this place gets, I don't think I've ever had such average BBQ before. There isn't anything positive other than it didn't give me food poisoning.

The tri-tip was bland and somehow soggy, the chili beans tasted like someone added chili powder to pinto beans, and the potato salad... My god the potato salad... Why is it a MASHED potato salad..?

I'd probably look elsewhere for BBQ, because if you're gonna pay $20 a person, you may as well enjoy it.

We were driving home to Long Beach and were told TO BE SURE to stop at Salty's. It was so worth it! Dynamite BBQ meat and outstanding jalapeño mac and cheese! People super nice too.
