Sunday 8a.m. not busy. We waited to order, we waited longer for our food, we waited & waited for our check. Food was great. Service was bad. Waitress was upset with my friend- her bacon & hash browns were burnt. Her plate looked like a plate of vomit. Moral of the review: don't upset the waitress.

This is the best breakfast in town. We ordered a Santa Fe Skillet and high stack pancakes and bacon. They were prepared to perfection and the taste was fantastic. I highly recommend Skillets Diner, you won’t be disappointed.

A nice, easy place to do breakfast or brunch. The Chile Verde is quite good here! The dinning area inside was a little stuffy with minimal air flow in some seating areas, but comfortable otherwise. Service was good And pricing is typical for Bakersfield cafes.
