If you haven’t had the chance to try Smith’s Bakeries yet, you’re missing out! While you can find their treats at various spots around town, I highly recommend going straight to the source for the freshest and best selection.

Their Smiley Face cookie is a classic, and it never disappoints – it’s sweet, soft, and always brings a smile. But don’t miss out on their seasonal designs! They’re so fun to try, and it’s a great way to celebrate different times of the year with delicious treats.

And if you’re a fan of thumbprint cookies, make sure to grab some! They’re melt-in-your-mouth good. I also tried their Champagne Cake, and let me tell you – it’s just as perfect as you’d imagine. Light, fluffy, and packed with flavor, it’s a must-try.

Smith’s is a local gem for all things baked, and I can’t recommend it enough!

I purchased 10 sugar cookies which cost me $33.10 cents! That comes out to roughly $3.00 a cookie! Unbelievable! These were nothing fancy, just iced sugar cookies. Will I purchase them again from any Smiths Bakery? No, I won't. That's flat-out price gouging.

As someone with gluten allergies, finding a bakery that caters to my dietary needs is a true blessing. The gluten-free desserts here are outstanding. From cupcakes to cookies, everything tasted amazing and didn't compromise on quality or texture. The value for gluten-free options was superb, and the staff was knowledgeable and accommodating.

Are these chocolate chip cookies supposed to be hard as a rock? My first time trying them and OMG not at all what I expected! Also a homeless man was pissing on the front door as soon as I walked out the building

I do like the cookies.... now that they have either stopped using lemon zest or at least decreased the amount they were using. My issue is with their cake. My husband had them recreate the top of our wedding cake. Simple dark purple flower design on a white background. It looked fine, but tasted horrible! I'm not sure why all bakeries have not switched over to powdered food coloring but just adding more and more liquid or paste adds a nasty chemical taste, rookie mistake, would've expected that from WalMart , not somewhere that charges upwards of $120 for a 10inch cake. And if they're going tp call it buttercream, they should be using butter, not veg.shortening, after taking 2 bites I could literally scrape a layer off the roof of my mouth, gross. The cake itself was very dry.

I came in first thing in the morning trying to order/ buy a birthday cake a few days in advance.. the rude elderly lady behind the counter would only reply to me with “no” until I left empty handed. Apparently there are no cakes I could buy, no cakes they would be able to make, I would not be able to place any kind of order, she didn’t try to offer cupcakes or any kind of alternative. It felt like I was talking to a teenager with a bad attitude. I just moved to Bakersfield and would have loved to support a local business but apparently they are busy enough they don’t need/ want any new customers. I will not be back

Great pastries but they don’t list their prices ANYWHERE in the store for customers to see, and the workers need to pull out a book just to know the prices themselves? It’s unhelpful to everyone involved.

This is a quality bakery, for sure. But the prices are a little steep. $60 for two dozen smiley cookies? Talk about buyer's remorse! The staff resembles the cast of The Walking Dead until it's time for them to serve you. Then they start the liven up a little bit when it comes to the part about the money ?
