My family ordered a 1/2 sheet cake that was supposed to have strawberries in the center. This was for a party last night. Upon cutting the cake we find a total of 5 pieces of strawberries in the whole cake. I have tried to call both this location and the Union location only to be told to get a refund on JUST THE STRAWBERRIES we must return the full cake that was eaten last night. We spent $80 on this cake and only wanted the money for what we didn't get, the strawberries, back. They refuse!!

Great products. Terrible ServiceWe showed up to buy some cookies for our grandkids. They had no idea what they had and just before we paid, they refused to sell them because they needed them for orders. We were there almost 20 minutes with small kids and had to leave with nothing! We went to a competitor and got our cookies!

Smith’s Bakeries, has a small satellite space located inside the Countryside Market.Smith’s bakery has been a staple in Bakersfield for about 70 years. They now have several different satellite shops in Bakersfield, along with their main bakery on Union Ave.Try their thumb print cookies, I don’t know anyone who doesn’t like them.

Smith's is the best bakery in town. Their maple bars are the best I've ever had. Thumbprint, alligator, clown and of course the happy face cookies all taste great and now I can get my favorite pink champagne cake in a cupcake.
