Smith’s Bakeries, has a small satellite space located inside the Countryside Market.Smith’s bakery has been a staple in Bakersfield for about 70 years. They now have several different satellite shops in Bakersfield, along with their main bakery on Union Ave.Try their thumb print cookies, I don’t know anyone who doesn’t like them.

Smith's is the best bakery in town. Their maple bars are the best I've ever had. Thumbprint, alligator, clown and of course the happy face cookies all taste great and now I can get my favorite pink champagne cake in a cupcake.

I have been in love with this place since I was a kid. They made my daughter's 16th birthday cake, and they have our favorite cookies of all times. Their staff is always amazing and super nice
