Sno Shack, Southern Valley

I'm writing to express my disappointment with a recent visit to Sno Shack, as I've always had such wonderful experiences there in the past. Last week, the atmosphere felt different, and the normally cheerful staff seemed less so. I was also surprised by the change in cups and the apparent disappearance of the 'avalanche' size. Most importantly, my go-to Fruity Tajin was severely lacking in juice and flavor, which was a huge letdown. The previous way of doing things was perfect, and this experience was unfortunately quite horrible.
Very sad because I might not go again.

Place has being close theres no paper on door ..if there will open again o no ? hopefully is just for remodel love there shave ice more summer is coming:( anyone knows if is permanent close ?

Sno Shack in Southern Valley is an absolute gem! The place is spotless, the vibe is great, and the açaí bowl was perfection—smooth, fresh, and packed with flavor. Their snow cones are next-level, with finely shaved ice that melts in your mouth. I loved the coconut and red hot cinnamon flavors!

The staff are incredibly friendly and make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. If you’re looking for a refreshing treat and top-notch service, this is the place to be. Can’t wait to go back!

Went in for 2 small shave ice and 2 dole whips and the guy at the register wasn’t able to give me dole whips to go for some reason… so he sold me an Avalanche and a small but when I requested again cups with lids he gave me two regular cups instead(picture of cups attached). This is the first time anything like this has happened, so not sure what the issue was. The only people in the were the 2 employees and me and my 2 kids; and we got our snow cones no problem…

Best shaved ice in Bakersfield.

We love going here just to cool off and have some delicious shaved ice ? Cool atmosphere and nice employees really appreciate you guys for having this spot available to the public to enjoy! ?

We make it a point to stop in Bakersfield for at least 2 to 3 days on our way to Southern California or Vegas. There are some interesting things to see in this area.We always stop at a dessert ? shop called the snow shack. OMG there snow cones are out of this world, even when compared to snow cones in Hawaii.They have so many flavors as well as different combinations. Other desserts as well. Great on any day, not just hot.Their ice machine produces this incredible fluffy snow ice. Not slushy type, not crushed ice, just a very smooth type of snow.Our favorite flavors are lime and red hot "cinnamon type" and coconut. They have a main store that is open all year, as well as summer season shacks all over town. We travel at least every 2 months to get our fix.

The ice is shaved finer than real snow, the best in town.

Really great place. Kids loved the dole whip. I enjoyed shave ice with ice cream. Great staff and very clean. Highly recommend.

Great product SERVICE is horrendous. Ordered four large acai bowls and counter staff kept pushing our order to the side. Hmmm

I love their snowcones! Lots of syrup flavor options and they don't try to short you on the syrup either.
