OMG.... This is my first time here and I absolutely loooooove it! The place is ran by the CUTEST, SWEETEST, LITTLE Asian lady... Her service was awesome! She checked on us numerous times, asked questions and was so kind. Now the FOOD .. delicious...THEY GOT SOUL HERE!!! Good portion, good season, good vibes!! I will definitely come back .. loved it ❤️❤️❤️

This is actually located in Noriega's, which is next door. The food was delicious. We had the fried chicken, red snapper, shrimp, cabbage, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, peach cobbler. While we waited, we got a little tour of the restaurant. There are items brought over from the old Noriega restaurant. Ida was a very gracious host, and we thoroughly enjoyed her company. Highly recommend!

They have the audacity to not give me any forks or spoons or napkins I shouldn't have to check my bag common sense would tell them already have it in the bag ridiculous.

First time here, didn't know this place was over here in the cut for 3 years.ok. I gave the food a 3….its actually closer to 4 stars only because of…the amount of food you get.The 3 stars is for flavor. It’s not your granny’s or your momma’s soul food thats super seasoned and been simmering in the back kitchen in them big ole’ pots since the wee hours of the morning but don't get me wrong this food has a good flavor. And I would gather the more they are around they will get better at it. Everyone’s tastes buds are different but I grew up on soul food so…that part.I would definitely recommend this place no doubt. The atmosphere is awesome, nice jazzy music while we ate the lighting is great. Service was superb and we got checked on often. I’m big on customer service. And You will get that here.I had the BBQ chicken dinner, red koolaidHe had the neck bones dinner, purple koolaidHealthy portions right? ain't no way lol I could not eat all that. Yams were not my favorite. Dirty rice had flavor but too dry. Mixed greens was cool but it was missing something. mashed potatoes were ok not a fan of the gravy. Chicken was yummy. Ribs were yummy Neck bones were yummy. They serve Basque food as well.We were surprised that they have karaoke on Thursdays. Yep we stayed. Enjoyed. Heard some great voices. ?oh they also have a separate side a little quieter side. Very nice touch.ok that is all.oh one more thing…the peach cobbler was very tasty. Reminds me of Jays place peach cobbler.

Everything was great except the cabbage. Overcooked, unseasoned. Tastes like water.

The food was disgusting. Not sure what type of meat they serve for ribs. They don’t clean the ribs lots of fat on the ribs. Food not cooked with soul.
