This is easily the tastiest breakfast in Bakersfield. Everything tastes fresh and cooked with care and pride. No stale, out of a bag, freezer burn taste. The spicy chicken fried steak with country potatoes and biscuits and gravy should be a staple in this town. Up there with Dewars for out of town visitors.

So many times I have gotten hair in my food..I think everyone needs a hair net..including the cooks and the ones that prepair the food...its absolutely disgusting to find hair in a meal..

Loved my visit to Spencer’s Cafe! The atmosphere was so nice and welcoming. I had some tasty pancakes and my husband had some tasty french toast, both were so delicious and fluffy. It was my birthday the day I came in a Spencer’s was the perfect place to have it. Will be back for sure!

Great locally owned and operated family style restaurant. I have dined at the southwest and northeast location for breakfast and lunch. I recently dropped into the Northeast Spencer’s, as I was out doing errands in East Bakersfield. While there was a moderate breakfast crowd , I didn’t have to wait long. The pleasant and efficient wait staff seated me at a clean and quiet booth. I opted for a favorite breakfast item of mine, The LumberJack Special… two generous golden brown fluffy pancakes, scrambled eggs, golden brown hash browns, sausage links, bacon and ham…Enough for two people 👍😀 The service was excellent . Highly recommend the Lumberjack Special for a hearty appetite. Great dining experience at Southwest and NorthEast Spencer’s location👍

Large portions for the price. Clean Food. My only criticism is that the gravy is low quality (served with biscuits)... They don't use sausage in it... It is prepared powdered gravy with nothing else.
