We ordered 2 Matterhorn cakes this week and they were very dry on both occasions very disappointed and mostly because the second time was for a large party of a 32 people 😩

I promise you will be very disappointed. I once enjoyed sweet surrender cakes, but the past few times I have been very disappointed. DRY AND CRUMBLY. Do not waste your money, the cake is not worth it. Too expensive and below mediocre. :)

I just went to Sweet Surrender today and i had a couple of cupcake and all were very good. The cupcakes were very soft and the frosting was so Delicious. I was craving something sweet and the cupcakes were just perfect. The customer services was good, as soon as i walked in the door with my 3 boys a lady came up to us and gave them some candy. She was very nice. I will definitely go back again.

Amazing bakery, with overpriced $4 cupcakes. But with prices high for eggs, flour & butter it’s a glutten for punishment. Without a doubt will return again. On my most recent trip Dec 30th I purchased two cakes and a few of the beautifully decorated cupcakes. They were Devine, juicy with moisture and perfectly iced.

I lived in Bakersfield for over 20 years and this is the only place that I’ve ever called my own ā€œSweet Surrenderā€. It started off with a pair of shoes, then a tiny little cupcake. Now it has evolved to birthday cakes, a complete wardrobe, and perfumes that fill rooms with sweet smells, The skies the limit with Sweet Surrender. And don’t even get me started about the staff. They have always been like family. They have seen me and my son grow up and honestly happier because of this one special place. Some people have to drive all the way to Anaheim to find their Disneyland. I just go to Sweet Surrender..

Kid-friendliness: My son has special needs and it’s difficult to bring him places sometimes. But never ever Sweet Surender. He and I are both treated like family.

Much better bakeries in town. Business practices are terrible!
