I’m giving a one ⭐️ for my recent purchase. Ordered our Son’s birthday cake and I usually enjoy the pastries here but the cake was not what I expected. The Vanilla frosting was so sweet. The kids literally couldn’t eat it. This is the second time ordering a birthday cake here and the first time wasn’t the greatest either but I thought maybe it was our choice of cake so I decided to order a red velvet cake since the the red velvet cupcakes are to die for but to our surprise the cake was not fresh and the red coloring was too much it was literally bitter. I had order the previous week from Smith’s bakery on White Lane for my youngest son and it was a blue velvet that tasted way better than this cake. Their frosting also wasn’t sweet considering it was for a child, I would think Sweet Surrender would have at least kept that in mind. A total waste of $85. I’m so disappointed.

I love the German chocolate cake at Sweet Surrender. However, the price is outrageous and the slices are smaller compared to the other cakes. I think that the cake slices should be consistent and filling for the price.

I like sweets but I have a bite or two and I am done. Except for this place I can eat a whole slice of cake or a whole cupcake and it’s perfect. Not overly sweet and not bitter. I have brought numerous friends from out of state or even different towns and they agree it’s the best dessert they ever had. I grew up getting cakes and cupcakes from here. From milestone celebrations to bringing them to the fire station so my dad could celebrate his birthday at work. I would recommend this bakery to anyone and everyone.

I loved this place. The outdoor decor really draws you in. The inside offers a great area for unique shopping and gift items. The staff is very friendly and will gift wrap if requested. They have peanutbutter/ chocolate cupcakes 🧁 that are amazing but sell out quickly.

The aging woman with the blonde hair has a knack for making me feel unwelcome. On two separate occasions she’s made slight comments that sully the entire experience.
I wish her peace because based on the experiences I’ve shared with my friends/family, it’s not uncommon.
Other than her negative energy, great goodies.

We ordered 2 Matterhorn cakes this week and they were very dry on both occasions very disappointed and mostly because the second time was for a large party of a 32 people 😩

I promise you will be very disappointed. I once enjoyed sweet surrender cakes, but the past few times I have been very disappointed. DRY AND CRUMBLY. Do not waste your money, the cake is not worth it. Too expensive and below mediocre. :)

I just went to Sweet Surrender today and i had a couple of cupcake and all were very good. The cupcakes were very soft and the frosting was so Delicious. I was craving something sweet and the cupcakes were just perfect. The customer services was good, as soon as i walked in the door with my 3 boys a lady came up to us and gave them some candy. She was very nice. I will definitely go back again.
