They had no rice??

The food is delicious, but if you have a child who doesn’t want to eat anything there and you bring them a Happy Meal so they won’t be hungry, they won’t allow it. They won’t serve you or let your child wait until after you finish eating to eat their own food.

I understand the policy for adults, but for a child, it’s different. Because of that, the service was terrible and not family-friendly in my opinion. I’m never coming back and will tell others it’s not family-friendly. A place like Oramen — the best in Bakersfield — sets a much better example. This place could learn something from them.

Fantastic food, setting, and the service is great. Everything came right out quickly and correctky, and the server tonight (9 Jun) is just on top of it all.

What the heck is fried chicken rice? I wanted chicken fried rice. I also asked for napkins, no napkins so now I’m in my hotel using a bath towel. Thanks

There’s also about a teaspoon of broth in my ramen, what the literal f. I’m hungry and this was very underwhelming, find another ramen spot in town this place sucks

The food is very flavorful and cooked well.
The service was good also. The server was nice and helpful.

The BBQ pork rice was a little sweet and umami.

The fried chicken was cooked perfectly. It was crunchy on the outside and Juicy on the inside. The hot sauce was like a Sriracha aoli and went perfectly with the chicken.

The sofshell crab was crunchy and delicious.

I went here specifically for the seafood ramen. I think it was cooked well, but I did not care for it. I ate it but would not order it again. I think it was something different and worth a try, but it just wasn't for me.

Me and my family go here every now and then and the food is great! Recently I had the vegetable ramen and it was absolutely phenomenal! The servers are also very nice. Overall this is one of if not my favorite ramen places in Bakersfield.

4/26/25, had the spicy miso soup. It was packed with delicious flavors. With a touch of good spice. Thank you. I recommend this soup. The pork was tender.

I work and study around this area, so my friend and I often visit this restaurant. The food is consistently good, the atmosphere is usually comfortable, and the main reason we come back is the affordable lunch specials. If you ever need a meal on a tight budget — at least $20; I usually pay $15 and some change — I highly recommend stopping by during their lunch hours.
However, I did want to mention an odd experience we had a few months ago. During one of our school breaks, my friend and I came in and ordered ramen. My friend has some food restrictions, so she requested a few modifications, including having the noodles served on the side. Unfortunately, the order kept coming back with mistakes — either missing something or including something she had asked to be left out. Eventually, we gave up on correcting it since we felt bad, even though the mistakes weren’t on our end.
The uncomfortable part came when, after my friend decided to just eat the ramen as it was, the cook unexpectedly came out from the back. He approached our table, offered to add the noodles to my friend’s bowl himself, and despite us politely declining and thanking him, he went ahead and did it anyway — even taking her utensils to mix the food without her consent. We kept saying it was fine, but he didn’t respond and simply left after finishing.
It was a confusing and uncomfortable moment, and while it hasn’t stopped us from visiting entirely, it did make us feel a bit uneasy. I still recommend the restaurant for its affordability and good food, but I wanted to share this experience for transparency.

This place truly cares about their customers and their wellbeing. I ordered on Uber eats and made it known I was allergic to pork, Aaliyah an employee there took her time to call me not ones but twice to inform me that the food had a pork base and they wanted to give me a vegetable substitute. Thank you Aaliyah for going above and beyond, your company should be very proud of your customer obsession and delivery results. 😊

Our ramen was very good. I don't eat ramen much but I enjoyed the spicy miso ramen. Also I didn't suffer so there must not be any MSG in their ramen. Very grateful for that.
Fried tofu wasn't crispy but I think it's because we took it to go.
I also like how they separated the broth from the bits and had cardboard to go bowls. Environmental friendly ❤️❤️
I would come back here again 😁😁

Everything was immaculate here, I was surprised it was so empty! We went on a Friday afternoon on a recommendation. We had hot, savory ramen with fresh noodles that had a good bite to them. The spicy pork was great. Ordered some bok choy (flower cabbage on the menu) on the side and they gave us a huge portion. The crispy chicken app was just okay, but pretty good dipped in the sauce. My partner finished his bowl but me, being a small eater, had enough left over for lunch the next day. The whole place is so clean and bright, even the bathroom was crazy clean. You can tell they really care about this place. Sadly we live an hour away but we can't wait to go back!

Had an overall good experience here. I took my wife and we both ordered ramen and I had a warm sake.
The atmosphere is beautifully decorated and I enjoyed listening to Japanese music they had playing in the restaurant.
Our waitress was named Juniper they were very friendly and helpful.
Now to the food.
I ordered the spicy miso ramen extra spicy. The ramen broth was mostly okay flavor not the best I’ve experienced, the dish came with thin noodles which were a bit chewy for my taste and they clumped together a bit too much the other complaint I had would be that the egg in the ramen was super cold in the center and would have been more enjoyable if it had been warm. My wife had the seafood ramen and she really enjoyed the softshell crab in the ramen but she also felt like the broth and noodles could have been done better and her egg was cold as well.
We also had a side order of extra charahu which was decent and kimchi which tasted delicious.
I will probably try a different ramen shop next time but if I go back I will order something else to give them a second try.
