Went here with some work friends on a weekday around lunch. Interesting vibes here to say the least. The drinks were amazing though. Our waiter seemed kinda angry at life. Will likely come back here to take the wife to dinner though.

Bar was amazing but make reservations or they will make you sit outside in the rain to wait for a table. I was given 3 options (1) take a stool chair and table ( size for 10 year olds, (2) stand outside in the rain and wait for a table or (3) if you go to the bar to wait for a table, you must stay and cannot get up. Nor will they put you on the list for the table if you go to the bar and wait. Last time I checked, open seats at the bar equal revenue at 75% margin. May want to rethink that strategy. After discussion with one manager, they decided to change their position.

My friend recommended this spot and it was amazing. I really like the aesthetic and decor. Most importantly the drinks and food were delicious! I had a vegan smash burger with fries which I highly recommend as someone who isn't vegan. Also the Matcha Lemon Drop and Encanto were very good! I also can't forget the amazing customer service. đ

It was my first time going to the botanist and I loved it. The decor is beautiful with unique relics. Very clean and inviting. The wedge salad was delicious and shrimp were perfectly cooked. I had a mocktail that was perfectly balanced and refreshing. This is a perfect place for a date or girls night out.

They have surprisingly good food and the atmosphere is unlike anything else in Bakersfield. A true gem of a place. Great service too.

This is such a cozy little place that has excellent drinks, food, and service. The vibe inside is very relaxed and artsy, and the servers were very friendly and helpful. The tea for 2 was a unique drink that was very refreshing. I got a shrimp burger that was delicious. I like that the focus is on quality and taste, not quantity.

Absolutely loved EVERYTHING about it. The ambiance was excellent. Music playing then live artists playing. The burgers were juicy, savory and warm. Their bread was soft and fluffy perfect for the cold weather. The staff was very attentive to our needs even though the place was packed with a line out the door. Would highly recommend.

This was a fun place to grab a bite to eat and a cool drink. It has a very cozy atmosphere, especially when you walk in from the bright Bakersfield sun.

I stopped by around 6pm on a Tuesday evening. It was surprisingly busy. Two large groups and a few parties of two (dares and two gentlemen at the bar). I sat at the end of the bar to people watch since I was solo. Service was fast and friendly. I hot an Earl Grey Martini which seemed to be a popular order. $14 which is on par and perhaps even inexpensive compared to other cities. It was delicious! The decor and general vibe were lovely & relaxed. People were dressed casual to business casual. Plenty of parking in the lot and on the street. It's directly across from the Smitten Cafe which was an early stop for me.

This was one of the most disappointing and insulting dining experiences Iâve had in Bakersfield. I brought my mom here for lunch, she has hearing difficulties and we politely asked if we could sit somewhere quieter or if the music could be turned down just slightly. The hostess dismissed the request and wouldnât even acknowledge asking a manager. When our server arrived, she immediately shot down the request, saying the âowners requireâ the music to be at a certain level. Mind you, the restaurant was almost completely empty.
Then, instead of showing any empathy or even attempting to accommodate, the music was actually turned up even louder within minutes of our request. That felt deliberate and incredibly disrespectful, not only ignoring a guestâs accessibility need but actively making it worse.
Hospitality 101 is about making guests feel welcome and comfortable. Instead, we were met with rigid excuses, zero flexibility, and a complete lack of compassion. We left after finishing our drinks, went to another restaurant, and wonât be returning.
If you value basic courtesy or customer service, I strongly suggest you spend your money elsewhere.
