We always enjoy Honeybaked Hams for New Year's Day and Easter. The ham we had for Easter was good, but a little bit drier than the ham we had in January. My family enjoys the big holiday meals with the ham, but also ham sandwiches, cutting ham up to add to mac & cheese, and I use the ham bone and meat at the end to make ham & potato soup!

It's just like any other store. The food is a bit overpriced. It's decent but OVERPRICED. Specifically the ham.

They honey it and they bake it. We eat it and love it. Last year the house was filled with smoke on Thanksgiving. This year we enjoyed great food without the smoke alarm sounding. Thank you

After moving from Concord Ca and really enjoying the service and food there, when I moved to Bakersfield Ca I went to the store on Ming Ave and wasn't at all impressed with the two women behind the counter. I ordered the classic ham sandwich but when I got home it was completely dry no dressing at all. I called and was told they were out of the champagne mustard don't you think I should have been asked if I wanted mustard or whatever they had? I went back yesterday after a 3 to 4 month absence and again ordered the classic ham on croissant once again when I got home this time the croissant was old and hard. I called the 800 customer service number and received next to no assistance. When I called the store directly The blonde behind the counter said she was the manager, since she's the one who prepared my sandwich I knew this was going nowhere. I just won't be a customer any longer. So to you future customers you've been warned.

Very distasteful customer service would not recommend it especially if you get someone by the name of Jeannie felt very very irritated with me, aaking questions, and a bit of racial tension in there as well I will suggest if you go in there beware of her and definitely needs to be reprimanded for the way she treats people. I hope this review was helpful for anyone that goes in there. I would not recommend it. In my honest opinion customer service should be number one and the treatment I received from her saddens me however, the other young lady was very nice and professional.

Always go to any one of these establishments. Yes the ham or turkey can be a bit pricey especially nowadays. That said they are delicious and hit the spot whether it's for Thanksgiving or anytime between November and January. The staff at this location was very friendly and helpful. Will be going back for more.

Tried to buy a ham for Christmas dinner but they wanted me to make a reservation and pay around $70. I sure don't love their ham that much.

I have lived in Bakersfield for about 14yrs and I've always wanted to check Honey Baked Ham out, but we just never think about this place during the holidays. The setup is unusual for me, but then again I was a first timer so I imagined it differently. When you walk in it kind of reminds me of a meat market setup where there's people at the counter and some meats (hams) on display in the refrigerators, the only thing is I didn't see a board with prices. They give you a menu or go over what kind of packages they have.We ordered for lunch for work and we got the ham with 2 sides and we ordered turkey and an extra side. We ended up choosing mashed potatoes with gravy, baked beans and stuffing as the sides. Now I'm not used to someone else cooking Thanksgiving anything for me, I'm usually the one cooking so this was a nice little break from cooking. My usual Thanksgiving isn't usually traditional American food since we're Asian and we usually include Asian food/sides, but I have to admit that the sides were impressive. I don't know if I'm just used to eating Asian cuisine, but the sides were definitely happening haha.So people go to Honey Baked Ham for the ham right? Don't skip the turkey. Seriously, don't skip it. The turkey breast is very flavorful and tender. Ham was definitely the star, but the turkey might have been the secret star of the show. The stuffing had a little crunch to it since there were pecans in it. The gravy was really nice too, there were little pieces of turkey in the gravy. Don't laugh at me, but I don't think I've ever had baked beans before except for like canned ones and the ones from here was just okay for me. It kind of tastes like BBQ sauce in it. It's like sweet beans. It goes well w the food they have here, but I don't think I could eat that by itself.Anyway, I would definitely come back. It's a little bit pricey like people mentioned, but it's only once a year. I have never seen this place get busy in all my years in Bakersfield, so I didn't think it was good. I recommend this place for your next event.
