Decided to try this place out for lunch and overall the food was good and freshly made. We had the homeboy burger, and cheesesteak. As a preference for the cheesesteak I wished the ratio of onion and peppers are 50/50 as well as the meat be thinner.

Finally made it in! They have a cute Mule menu, I didn’t try a margarita, maybe next time. We didn’t eat here but the menu looks good. They have a few vegetarian options cauliflower tacos, goat cheese salad and a few apps. The place is SMALL. Maybe 10 seats at the bar and a few tables. The bartender/ server/ maybe she helps cook too was so kind and welcoming and friendly. Very cool decor. Happy we stopped by and will for sure be back

I was picking up an order yesterday and the older white woman working was EXTREMELY rude to me in front of other customers! She proceeded to laugh about it afterwards too!!! I will NEVER go back there, pick up orders from there, or eat food from there ever again. I called to speak with the manager after my experience, and she was the only person working. With her rude demeanor and poor attitude I would REALLY hope she’s not the manager! 0/10 stars.

Owner is pretty rough to deal with. Food is good and it’s a cool old building.

First time in and had a pleasant experience. The lady behind the bar was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and polite.

They have a wide variety of mixed drinks with fresh ingredients, which is a rare sight. They have a good selection of drinks in cans and bottles as well. I just went for a beer but my friend got a blackberry mule (no picture) that was pretty tasty.

We ordered some food, tri tip fries and a cheesesteak dog. Both food items were good but I think the hotdog was a better deal, no pictures either, but the hotdog is loaded!

It’s pretty quaint inside. There’s a small patio off to the side. Pretty clean inside too.

Overall would I’d go back.

I didn’t get to eat there; came in the afternoon and there was 1 employee on duty, both cooking and taking orders. Poor guy was busting his butt to get the 1 other table’s food ready, and I stood in front of the bar for 10 minutes (literally not figurative) before I had to give up to leave. This is what I would deem an administrative problem.

Upon arriving we were currently told that they would be a minute even though we had a reservation after about a 10 minute wait because the bartender/host/server was overcome by the small amount of people she had in the restaurant we were seated unfortunately the female that was working was not very presentable in her parents extremely rude and Kurt didn't ask if we had been there before or not didn't offer any specials was very slow and coming to get our drink order I had to take the initiative to get our appetizers and our order in The atmosphere was loud and not very stimulating overly bright The food was not spaced out properly her advertisers were brought out shortly after our drinks The beer that was ordered was not poured into the glass for my companion however it was abruptly put on the table was an empty glass that was not even chilled The salad came out rapidly after the appetizers everything was served in paper lined baskets or a paper plate which was odd The main entree however was delicious we had the sear ahi tuna and the pecan crusted halibut which were amazing however the Jasmine rice was flavorless but cooked well salt and pepper was able to live in it The green beans were not fried as stated in the menu and were terribly undercooked All in all the experience was not worth the money and if I had known that the only thing palatable flavorful would have been the two main course dishes and only a part of it I would have gone somewhere else The chef was not wearing a hair net looked extremely disinterested it was a shame we had been very excited to try this new restaurant

I found this little gem while working in Bakersfield. I am so happy I did. I have dinner there every time I am in town when they are open. The owner and cook always remember me by sight and both are always genuine, happy and friendly. The food and drinks are always excellent, the atmosphere is very pleasant and welcoming. Truly a hidden gem in Bakersfield worth checking out.

We got the peppered pork tacos and goose carnitas tacos. They were very tasty. The drinks were : coronado beer wheat ale and the wife had a blood orange jalapeño margarita. The margarita was good. My beer came in a can and I got a chilled glass.

I eagerly anticipated trying something new with the Philly Cheesesteak, but was left disappointed. Instead of the traditional flavors, I received two hotdog links topped with overcooked and dry tri-tip chunks, accompanied by a light amount of cheese and peppers. It was a departure from their usual quality and left much to be desired.
