Visited 4/7/24, ate the chirashi bowl, and immediately got food poisoning.Within 30 minutes, got severe abdominal pain, vomiting and then diarrhea.Customers trust restaurants, especially when handling raw fish, to have hygienic and fresh product. To pay money and get sickening food poisoning is a major red flag, and should be a serious warning to customers and staff on the quality of food being served.

Called the Umi to make a pickup order. The hostess stated an hour wait time for the order. Not an issue at this point. Waited over an hour to go pick up our order. Once we get to the restaurant we wait another hour and the restaurant still hasn’t even started our order. It was a holiday so we understood it was busy. We decided to just cancel our order and move on. They stated they would give us a refund for the order. It’s been over a month and still have not received a refund despite me calling numerous times and filing a report with the BBB. They stated that they have to wait for the owners to come back to see if they would be able to issue a refund or not. I asked if I can contact them and they said no. One time I called and they said they don’t give refunds and they weren’t sure why someone would tell me they did. So essentially they stole my money and are refusing to give me my money back. Shady business! Stay away!!

I ordered the premium small sashimi, a spicy tuna handroll, 2 large Asahi beers and a bottle of sake ($15), which if you don't finish you can take home. It's like being able to take an unfinished bottle of wine home. The sashimi was very fresh. The premium include premium fish. One was a trout from Norway that resembled salmon. Very tasty. The spicy tuna roll had a nice portion of tuna. The service was top notch. My total bill was $72 without the tip.

I come here all the time with friends and it's always good! Amazing service and lovely atmosphere. If you're looking for a good baked roll, you have to try the pink bear or the snow white! This is my number one spot for sushi ?

I do not know what’s going on back there but we have to wait more than an hour to get our one roll of sushi! it doesn’t make sense.Also the spicy pork, it was not good like it used to be. The pork was black and burnt.Never coming back here again!

The food has gone down in quality over the past year. I would aways get the rose roll with medium spice and it was always a treat. The past several times I've ordered it has been so spicy I couldn't eat it.The pink bear used to be perfection. The last time I ordered it, it tasted like it was splashed with gas ⛽️ and I had a skin reaction. Other times I order it, the rice is hard and dry.I wish whoever was preparing the food before this year would come back. This frequent customer is no longer a customer ?
