If you like really expensive, really mediocre food... this place is for you. The desserts were old Costco desserts. The smell of old oil was horrible. The one server they had was doing her best. Actually felt bad for her.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Bakersfield. It is my favorite, Italian restaurant, and a perfect place to come for a wonderful dinner. We came on a busy night, with three downtown events happening all at the same time. We were served by Michael, who made sure that our order was rushed, that we had drinks, appetizers, and plenty of pepper when our meal arrived. I ordered the linguine with white clam sauce and my husband had the "one crab leg short of a cioppino" linguine pescadore. The restaurant was sure that our ticket was ready, with plenty of time for us to check out and make our event on time. If you would like great service, and even better food, go here!

Service is not what it used to be. Food is obviously not the same as a few years ago. Sad to say one of our previous top recommendations for out of town friends now will no longer be graced with our family any longer. Just not worth the money. Sad

I'm not going to lie, I was highly disappointed about tonight's dinner. We decided to celebrate our 33rd anniversary tonight instead of Wednesday. I had bought tickets to Joy Koy a few months ago and knew I needed to find a restaurant before the concert. A week ago I made the reservations, I let them know it was our anniversary and wanted a nice table inside. I picked this place because it had been a long time since we've been here. And we use to come here back in the mid 90's, a lot. So we get there, the parking is always awful. But we finally found one. We walked in, wasn't greeted, then taken to our small table up against the window. I don't ever remember all the tables being so close to one another. To the point that walking in between tables people have to scoot the chairs so you're not bumping in to them. Our waiter came over, very nice and very busy. We went ahead and got our drinks and put in an order for bruschetta. The waiter said it should take 15-20 minutes to come out, said okay no problem. So we ordered a cup of chowder, and ordered our entrees. My husband ordered the lobster ravioli, and I ordered the chicken piccata with alfredo ravioli. We actually got our bruschetta before our chowder. It looked nothing like we remembered or tasted. The bread was very soggy and it tasted like old ingredients. Do not recommend! The claim chowder was very good. We got our entrees and I about laughed right in front of the waiter. You will see in the picture. My chicken was very thin and smaller than the palm of my hand. I should have said something, I don't know why I didn't. I will say the flavor of both the chicken and alfredo ravioli was good. My husband did not care for the sauce on the lobster ravioli. I want to also point out that the bread they served us was hard and came in a basket they serve chips in at a Mexican restaurant. What happened to the nice baskets and was the bread was covered up? The menus look like a dinner menu, what happened to the really nice menus that you use to open up? For a restaurant that looks and feels classy and upscale, you need to do better. I also want to point out that your windows need to be cleaned. Please don't sit people next to dirty windows. And no it wasn't on the outside or in between the windows. We tried to relive our past and it was a fail. Sorry to say we won't be back.

This is a first class place. Good food. I feel like I got what I paid for and then some. Can't say that about many establishments these days.

The food was good but they need more attention in taking the orders and bringing the food.

I'm not sure why, but nothing feels more privileged than to have lunch outside on the patio of Uricchio's with a glass of wine, watching the world go by. This is a place where they treat you like family. Mica, our server, knows we're going to enjoy a leisurely meal. My wife got the Eggplant Parm. I opted for the Penne Puttunesca. Brian brought out some cheesy bread to nibble on. While we waited, we ordered a glass of wine. They have an excellent selection of reds. My wife says the Eggplant Parmesan is delicious. The chef cooked my penne to perfection. The sauce was flavorful, but not overpowering. Do yourself a favor, if the weather is nice, try lunch outside in downtown Bakersfield.

Love this spot ! The service could have been a bit quicker then the 50 minute wait times but besides that the good and staff were very accommodating to our party of 7.

Probably the best Eggplant Parmesan I've ever had! Portion was huge. Friendly waitress. Loved the cloth tablecloths. Would come here again.

This was my first time trying this long standing establishment. Can't believe I haven't tried it before. I've had Italian food in Chicago, San Francisco, Las Vegas and Los Angeles and my new favorite pasta dish was found last night in good ole Bakersfield. Food was unbelievable. Fresh and seasoned to perfection. Place was absolutely packed due to proms going on so the kitchen was swamped but that didn't sway the chef's quality one bit. May not have been as fast but the service was still spot on none the less. We sat in the wine room so the atmosphere was very comfortable and inviting for conversation with our friends. The evening was perfect. Can't wait for next time. Thank you to all the staff at Uricchio's for putting forth the effort to making your patrons wanting to return for more.
