Exploring Bakersfield's culinary scene at Vatos Tacos, their newest location! ? Indulged in their mouthwatering Molcajete and savory carne asada fries paired with refreshing margaritas. Never fails to impress! ? There's always something new to try and goood... Definitely one of our top favorite restaurants..

By far the best tacos in town. My husband and I go weekly and tacos are so good well seasoned perfect pickled onions. This is the place to go, to get your taco fix. Cold beers and the service is always great.

The birria meat on the plate we ordered was as dry as beef jerky and my chille Verde burrito had a large chunk of burnt rice bigger then my thumbs in it that just ruined the burrito I was not impressed with the food on ming Ave next time I'm going back to the east

Now and then... when Vatos Taco's opened their location on Ming I was excited because their food at the Eastside spot was excellent. Ming opened and the food was just as good if not better! Unfortunately over the past year the food at the Ming location has fallen off not to mention the rising prices. 3 street tacos about a half cup of rice and about 4oz of been will set you back $14.00 without tax. Silver dollar size tacos... you need at least 2 or 3 more at a cost of $3.50-$3.75 each to make it a meal. Add a drink and your looking at $26-30 dollars for 1 person. And that's one of the least expensive plates on the food menu. Happy hour drink prices are good. A Mondo draft beer will run you about $6. Dinner for 3 cost us $110 dollers + $20 tip included: guac & chips, 5 street tacos w/rice & beans, a carne assada wet burrito, shrimp a la diabla plate, 2 Mandos, 2 margaritas and an ice tea. Food was mediocre at best. Flavor of the carne assada burrito was off and it was more tortilla than anything. I will say the service was 10 out of 10! I recommend coming here for drinks after you have lunch or dinner somewhere else. Maybe I'll visit their Eastside location if I go back for food. Hopefully they haven't lost their touch there. To be determined....

To begin with, the waitresses take a long time...second, they charge you for the chips and salsa...and the worst thing is that they include the tip...terrible

The vibe and atmosphere was excellent for the diverse people there. The music was also on point, as there was mixture of music genre that set the mood of the 49er game this past weekend. Food was on point and servers were excellent in handling all the big groups of people coming in and out.

Knife I.

Food sucked, nothing athentic at all. "Best damn Mexican food"is Don Pepes which is far superior. The hostess and service was a joke. Place was open almost two hours and we were the only table (a two top) wonder why..dueces

Tacos were good. Rice and beans were ok. Serive was just ok as well. Drinms are a bit on the pricey side. Large screen tvs to watch some sports on. Nothing else really stood out about this place.
