Looking for a new place to try, I saw pictures of the restaurant on here & read the food reviews so I made the choice to bring my family here for the first time today. It looks really inviting, & it truly is a welcoming location. The decor looks homey, and the outdoor area is refreshing-- was worth coming back to try.However, when we got seated the server that took our drink order gave us no welcome, no greeting & half heard the drink order before speeding away from our booth (Red & black long hair, don't know her name). I was flabbergasted. We were only handed 2 menus & two sets of utincels and we were a party of 4.I must of looked visibly irrate because another lady came by to check up on us and she was a lot more courteous, & finished bringing our drinks like I had asked. I asked her name & it was Dana or Dania. If weren't for her, I would've Respectfully walked out with my entire family, because I wasn't going to sit & get mediocre service when we can choose another place to eat in the downtown area. Shortly after that another server took our order, (she had tattoos & black eyeliner). Sped us through the process, but her attentiveness was definitely an upgrade from the first server.Food arrived & the food was what we expected, probably the best part of the experience-- that I didn't even mind not getting the pancakes we ordered. I canceled that once miss red & black haired server finally came to give us our check.I work at a restaurant, myself so I know about tipping out & the split percentage between staff so I did leave a fair tip on the table despite the low quality service we got.But, to finish it off; miss red & black haired server who gave us the worst service finished it off by asking if the 20 I was handing her with my card was meant for a tip. (Tip was vidibly on the table) Um, Girl, no.. flabbergasted once again to comprehend she thinks her lack of attentiveness deserves that tip. I'm sad to say that this is the last time I'm going to eat here. I'm disappointed.

I have been here dozens of times and have had the best experience but on this particular day I decided to take my dad. Unfortunately it wasn't a good experience. It was Sunday lunch and I was expecting a bit of a wait and seating did not take long unfortunately they were down a cook this day. We didn't get our food till like 45 minutes after we ordered. Food was excellent but the service lagged. The waitress did apologize though. I would like to suggest possibly calling someone or cross train all employees in cases like this.

Food was awesome as usual service not so much felt ignored by wait staff with the exception of the busboy who serves drinks in the outdoor area. Saw at least four couples leave due to no one helping them or seating them even though there were several empty tables. I'm not sure if they were under staffed. Our waitress was nice both times we saw her.

If you have no taste buds this place is for you!!! I'm pretty sure homeless people on the 58 can cook with better flavor then here... The service is good and the environment is outstanding but the food is for the birds
