Food was ok, but for the price NO. Atmosphere very beautiful, but for the price and service NO. Will not be coming back. Over prices for unseason/untasteful food.

Food was okay, but not $$$ good. Pasta & skirt steak was loaded with grease and cheap small cuts of meat. Enchiladas were bomb, however small portion of rice and bean with it. Brussels sprouts were not crispy. Cocktails were amazing.

The WORST part of our dining experience the having been only given the option of sparkling and still water. What happened to tap? We requested for still and received bottle of water and it was already uncapped. I suspect that it is not really still water and rather the bottle has been reused and filled with tap. In addition, a 3% credit card fee.

Would not return just given these two weird and icky vibes.

The portions are small but you will be surprised by how satisfied you feel when you finish eating, the only detail is that for a “Latin” food restaurant it does not have people who serve you in Spanish, sad irony but it gives you a complete experience

Not the biggest fan of their menu and I could take or leave their food. It’s a cute place w a great vibe though. Also they offer you water and charge you for it so watch out for that. Surprise $7 charge.

Food was Ok. Atmosphere at the restaurant probably the saving grace. Service was horrible.
They charge you a percentage of your bill in credit card fees and would not tell you.

This is a great upscale Latin restaurant replaced the Mark during Covid. The atmosphere and the craft table-side cocktails make this place extra special for an event - there always seems to be a party of some sort (bachelor, birthday) going on when I'm here. The enchiladas are delightful and everyone who's had the tacos raves about them. Highly recommend!

Excellent service and good food too.

Tell them your taste and will recommend dishes to suit your taste. Very big portions so could easily share.

The food at Zama is delicious, but the poor service is not worth the cost. We made a reservation for 7:15 with my parents visiting from out of town, and the table wasn’t ready until 7:45. We asked the host twice about the wait, and she actually acted frustrated at me rather than apologetic. Our server was also rude. They don’t offer physical menus, only web menus (if you can scan the QR code etched on wood). Our server was also cold, rude, and overall not pleasant… I’d expect much better service for a bill over $300 and tip over $60. This is my 3rd visit, and probably won’t be returning for the Zama “experience” when Sol Y Luna has far better service and staff clearly shows how much they value their patrons.

This is now my go to restaurant when I travel to Bakersfield and stay downtown. Very close to the Marriott, but I’d recommend taking an Uber as parking sucks and you can avoid walking with all the vagrants. The atmosphere here does not feel like Bakersfield and the spirit selection is 2nd to none. I was able to try some of the extra anejo tequilas that they had and they were excellent. Both the lamb chops and tropical ceviche were bomb! Got to try them and this restaurant.
