New owners have updated the furniture and cleaned the place up. My wife loves the breakfast burritos and they still have much of the same truck stop food, including the chicken fried steak and bisquits and gravy. Omelets and country potatoes. It's like the old Zingo's only cleaner and just as friendly.

I really like Zingos, friendly staff and great food. I’ve been trying different things. French toast, chicken fried steak, steak and eggs, and the BLT are delicious. I’m getting ready to head over there in a little and try the pork chop, another customer ordered it the last time I went and it looked really good.

Updated to the new opening of Zingos: This used to be such a good place but now it's a little different! Don't get me wrong they cleaned up the place beautifully but the food and atmosphere of lots of people has changed! Went in today and my husband ordered soft bacon and the waitress came out and said this was the softess they could find...what does that even mean haha it's also over priced simply in my opinion. Maybe we all just miss seeing so many people there on a Sunday morning

We have always loved Zingo's. Who Zingo is I have no idea, but I do know the first owner passed and the place was bought and remolded. It is not a fancy remodel and we would not want that. It is just super friendly and welcoming. Parking is super easy in their lot. The place is spotless as are the bathrooms. There is a bar in the back through another door which has all manner of old time fun. Country music, Karaoke nights and just a great time.Zingo's always has a few special events now and again like classic cars that are amazing to look at and the owners are there having a meal with everyone else. This place is just so down to earth, not a mean person in site. The customers are mostly local, some are long haul truck drivers and then there are the people who know you have to eat at Zingo's or you have not really been to Bakersfield.Each table is so cool, it has adverts made right into the table for all sorts of local places. It is super fun to read. They have a large menu and everything is really good, be it breakfast or dinner.The service is great. They are fast and friendly and if you need any information about Bakersfield these are the women to ask. They know the menu well and will tell you what is great.We had burgers, just so tasty and cooked perfectly, salad with a wonderful dressing and coffee that never ends. We also ordered a super tasty lemonade. We had biscuits and gravy and the county sausage gravy was some of the best I have ever had. The biscuits are made there and so fluffy. We also ordered eggs and pancakes. The eggs were large and wonderful. The pancakes were cooked on too hot a grill and made them a tad tough, so turn your grill down, but they were still good.There is not one thing we don't love about this place. They are kid and tourist friendly and you will never be rushed and you will be made to feel at home.I doubt they take reservations. I have never seen a huge line.Have the best time.

The chicken fried steak was big enough to feed 2 but I ate it myself. The food and service was great. I would recommend this place to all my friends and family. The new owner is a real friendly guy.
