Mariscos Martin Restaurant

Been coming here for years. Their tostada servings are always generous. Their rice and beans are great. Tostada mixta is my go to but I also was craving the mojarra as you can see. Everything tasted great. Small place, and the decor is very dated. But the food makes up for it. Good for to-go orders too.

Me and my mom went out on a Saturday afternoon.
She had an okay experience however I did not.
I ordered a fish fillet plate and consequently I thought it was fried but it was okay; my mistake for not asking.
Anywho I saw my plate and it did not look flattering. The fish looked raw, like they slapped it in some oil flipped it twice and bam it was done. I bit into it despite it's look and omg the fish was chewy.. kind of gross but I ate it anyway because 1. I was hungry and 2.well I didn't have time to send it back and reorder. That was 1 out of 3 complaints.
The other was the service. The waitress named Alicia was rude from the start.
We asked if they had a bigger coke bottle because the one they brought was awfully small. She didn't like that and made a face. When we finally got our food because they took forever, I asked for salad dressing and she blatantly ignored me so I got up to ask for it with one of the other waitress. Lastly when I got up to pay, I handed her my check and cash. When she gave me the change, I put out my hand and she just placed the cash on the table. Rude! And when I asked for a bag to go she gave me the bag kind of shooing me away. Totally unpleasant!!!
I hope whoever eats here has a better experience than I did 😐

Good seafood place really good

We rarely dine in, it is usually a take out. Saturday's or Sunday's, we highly recommend their Menudo or Weekday's their 7 Mares , it is delicious and pricing is not bad at all. However, be aware that if you take out then no tortillas will be included.

Ordered 3 things. One was a tostada mixtape. It was not particularly tasty and the presentation was poor. The next thing I ordered was a shrimp cocktail. It had a splash of ketchup and was almost tastless. It had cucumber and very little tomato, no cilantro. That was the worse and a waste of my money imo. It is worth mentioning that they have a variety of hot sauces on the table and they eventually bring you ketchup, lime and crackers. If you’re like me and want your cocktail to have a good flavor from the start this is not the place for you. The last thing we tried was the pezcado al mojo de ajo. It was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with plenty of garlic on one side. The rice was too soft for my liking and the beans were okay.

Lastly, the service is okay, leaning in the mediocre. They forgot one of my drinks and I didn’t bother reminding them.

I really enjoy the food from this place especially the grilled fish. Price is good and friendliness is also good. The only down fall is during summer time, it is extremely hot inside as they do not have a/c or fans. I'm eating here with my girlfriend and we're on summer time and I'm literally sweating and dying of how hot it is inside this restaurant . They need to fix their a/c or add fans because you won't be able to enjoy your meal.
