It was a waste of time, the store has changed hands. Now it’s Lujiacun

Located in Baldwin Park. Solid canto restaurant. Reasonably priced and big portion. Fast service too.

Very Cantonese flavor, especially the mutton pot

Tried it for the first time last week, and I have to say, it’s quite authentic. Delicious. Thinking about returning again today with my family. Ordered the string beans with beef the first time. Rice was perfect. Service was good. The coconut jello desserts was good and so was the iced lemon tea. This is Cantonese style food for the most part. Plenty of parking. Place is tucked away in a small plaza. Place is clean and modern.

So...technically they're not closed (Sept. 15, 2022), but they have changed their name...so I guess technically they are closed. Everything else is the same. Same people, same menu, same furniture. Now called Papa Lu's. This marks the third name change of the restaurant since I moved here 5 years ago

Solid Cantonese restaurant! I love to order their lunch specials or even go for dinner. Yelp lists it as closed, but I called today and they are open for business. 9/13/2022

5 stars go to they go all the way to make congee for me not on the menu. That's reflects how they care about their customers and is an excellent chef that can make congee under 20 mins. Hands down and I really appreciate a lot. Thank you. The rest of the dishes with wonton noodle soup and eggplants are great. Hidden gum in the area.

Amazing, fresh food! Portions are perfect size, definitely had left overs for lunch. Customer service is immaculate and the owner is very friendly and very involved. Love this hidden gem, highly recommend you to visit and try their amazing food. Take out is also an option.

Great Chinese family style restaurant, everything was on point. All servers were extremely friendly and took their time to explain the basic tradition of the dishes. Also the house iced red tea was very solid for a dine in restaurant. Got the seafood Tofu Clay pot, salt and pepper pork chop, Japanese style style beef filet mignon, lamb in clay pot also a dish of vegetables. Total was around $120, well enough for 3 guys and had a lot of left overs probably enough for 2 more. Every dish was above standard, would for sure come back again. Bonus they gave us a free order of hong kong style egg waffle, it was good but of course not as good as the ones in HK, that wouldn't be fair.
