Dirty Mikes Tavern is a welcoming spot for a post-work drink, reminiscent of the Branding Iron vibe. The crowd is mostly locals, with a cute bartender on Friday nights. The atmosphere is trouble-free, with decent music and a strong pool following. The pool tables and sticks are in better condition than at the local sports bar, which is a plus. Prices are great, and the service is excellent, making it a top 3 spot in town. The bar also has great tacos on the back patio and hosts a DJ on Thursday night. It’s a cool bar and a good stopover on the way to or from Palm Springs, Coachella, Outlet Mall, Casino, or Joshua Tree. Despite being a dive bar, the walls are in good shape, and the bartender is friendly. There is a pool table, and everything seems clean, though no food is available. With drinks costing around $9, it’s a place worth returning to for a chill hangout.
