You can't beat the view. It's lovely at any hour of the day. If you can make it to breakfast before 11am, it's delicious. Try the raspberry french toast. It's delectable. Between the houses of 11am and 4pm, this more upscale part of the restaurant is closed, but you can grab lunch upstairs, at their more casual dining restaurant and bar. I had the Poke bowl, and really loved it. It was also quite the hefty portion. So definitely a lot of bang for your buck. Dinner at Ducey's downstairs us a little more upscale without being boujee. The filet mignon is incredible. I also have to mention that it's very family friendly and that I appreciated the sweet treatment my kids received while there.

Brought a friend for her first visit to Yosemite/Mariposa and decided to swing by Bass Lake to show her the area. Seems all places have an average 3 star, so we figured, why not eat with a view. The downstairs area was closed with a sign that said go go upstairs for lunch. Note to reader, you will walk up to the eating area and have to walk through that area to get to the hostess. It was slow, so we were seated quickly. Because we were meeting family for dinner and arrived here around 230, we opted for a light meal of salads. I went with the Ceasars salad, which was just eh. My friend's salad was, however, yummy as were the wings. Kids' quesidilla was not good (my grandson said 1 star) They get a 2 star only because the service was poor. They brought the salads and appetizer together at once and delivered the food, then walked away without asking if we needed anything. In our excitement over the view and everything else, we didn't think about what we 'needed". Our server didn't come by to follow up, so I had to walk over and ask someone for silverware and extra plate for our appetizers. He looked over at our table and said sure. Mind you, we were a table of 3. He brought one napkin, 2 plates, and 2 sets of silverware...... So, at this point, I'm not comfortable asking him (who is not our server) for more. Our server came back halfway into our meal to ask if we needed anything, and then we didn't see her again until it came time to pay. So basically, there are no refills on our drinks. This may be a good place to grab a beverage with a view but im not sure I'd recommend this place for a meal (our tab was $80 for 2 salads, one kids plate and 3 beverages)

Lived up there 6 yrs. Had to go for good food and good company a few times a month. Love there breakfast. Their steak style salad. And in the evening their early bird menu. I enjoyed eating up stairs on the outside deck.

Service was quick and attentive, food was delicious! It has a great view of the lake. I got the pan seared salmon and the 12 oz. ribeye. It comes with soup/salad and 2 sides of your choice. Very filling and worth the $40 each.

One of our favorite parts about The Pines Resort is Ducey's!! The rib-eye is PHENOMENAL! It's so juicy and flavorful and always cooked just right. The staff is also always so amazing. We always feel relaxed and at ease during our dinner, and very comfortable which is key. We would definitely recommend!

It's a very popular place. Tip: reserve a table for breakfast on a weekend. They serve breakfast until noon on weekends. We had very friendly service. Their lobster eggs benedict were scrumptious. Beautiful serene views on Bass lake. We felt very cozy.

We sat at the bar and Calvin was the bartender. It took him 10 minutes before he took our order, and it wasn't even busy. Our food sat in the window for several minutes, and he didn't check on us to ask if wanted additional beverages and we waited 15 minutes for the check. It would be understandable if it was busy, but it wasn't.

We ate at the steakhouse so it was pricey .our waitress was very nice and helpful. the best thing we ate was the ahi tuna it was super good as well as the lobster the sauce rlly gave it flavor.the shrimp skewers were decent i was just expecting more flavor the kids salmon was a hit in our family.the steak medallions were good as well but the mushrooms were cold.the burger was good but it was rare in the middle and a bit to big for me. Our total came out to 230 without tip. the ambiance was very nice the scenery was gorgeous and for the dress code i was wearing jeans and a sweater so not to dressy.

We used to come here for years! Just doesn't seem like it used to be with service and especially food quality! Had breakfast and dinner for 2 days. (Friday & Saturday) Breakfast was ok just sloppy on the plates. Service was good. Prices were high. Dinner I had filet one night and NY the other. Wife had salmon both nights. Just seems like it was lacking flavor and again just thrown on a plate. For the prices that are being charged the experience should be top notch! Not sure what has changed but it's definitely noticeable. Will come back to give them another shot... hopefully a better review next time. Building it beautiful and the lake is great! Starting to fill up and it's always nice eating dinner and able to look out at the lake!

If you haven't been it's a must in Bass lake there's the top restaurant and the bottom. The bottom opens at 4:30 pm ... I love the play mignon brussels sprouts my fav!! Hubby loves the fish he usually gets the salmon or the fish of the night .. The ambiance is really nice relaxing with a beautiful look of the lake.. The staff we love so much the service is better than 5 stars .. We always look forward to our date nights there . They also have a smaller menu that's priced well and even tho it's smaller you get quite a bit of food ..

Do not come here and waste your time and money. It's took 45 minutes for food to come out after seating. Took 15 minutes to get seated with a restaurant not even half full. The servers were hardly busy or attentive. Host did not give us a menu to look at in the meanwhile. The food is extremely mediocre, I promise you will have a better tasting quality meal cooking it over a campfire or where you are staying. The management clearly knows they have somewhat of a monopoly here with their restaurant, so they hardly hold up any quality or standard. Eat in Oakhurst if u can. It's 15 minutes aways lol.

Average food. Chaotic staff and atmosphere. Below average bar selection. Average cost per quality. Bistro style seating for 2 behind the bar has the view. Bring your patience.
