Jones Store

Jones Store is a step back in time. This is a very cool rustic area up in the mountains. We made a special drive there for lunch and we were not disappointed. The burgers were delicious. The bread made the sandwich. I don't know for sure how they make it but it was some of the best bread on a burger I've ever had. Great food, prickily service, just like we like it! Excellent tuna sandwich, excellent burgers, excellent pie ala mode! The drive up is just beautiful- the meadow is beautiful- the bathroom was in need of a cleaning. We will be back!

The Jones Store has been around since the 1880s and is still going strong. This was a must-stop when I attended sleep away camp down in Bass Lake as a kid! Summer after Summer, it was one of the highlights of the campers and holds a special place of true nostalgia for me.
