I really was trying to like you guys, but I have to say the BBQ is okay, but honey the catfish nuggets were over cooked and way to salty!!! The sides is a definite NO! Salty and nasty! $100 down the drain😡

Ordered the 3 meat combo and a extra pound of links i didn't receive any ribs with my order or any utensils napkins nothing food was cold and the chicken leg quarter was the size of a wing this was the worst bbq iv had in a long time straight trash 🗑

I've been a loyal supporter of Hambone BBQ
Smokehouse for over a decade-back when Soul
Bowls were just $8 and you were still deciding which portraits to hang on the walls. That history makes this experience especially disappointing.
On my recent visit, I picked up two Soul Bowls and drove back to Gardena. Upon opening the containers, I was shocked and frustrated to find a shockingly small portion of Tri-Tip. It was so minimal I couldn't even taste it. For nearly $20 per bowl, what I received was essentially baked beans, mac and cheese, and what felt like a trace of meat.

The portion size was not only underwhelming-it was disheartening. I expected better care and consistency, especially from a place l've supported for years. Had it not been for the traffic on the 91 Freeway, I would have returned immediately to request a refund.

To the owners: I'm voicing this disappointment out of respect and history. I've watched your business grow and rooted for your success, but experiences like this hurt your reputation. Please make sure the quality and portions match the price and loyalty you've built over the years.

Besides my Dad's bbq, Hambones is superb. Juicy, tender, flavorful yummy goodness. I'm salivating just thinking about it. Good job Keenan. I went to school with him, great BBQ bro!

This was absolutely unacceptable! I ordered the loaded fries with Chicken. They left off the grilled onions and just dumped some pieces of chicken on the top! I've ordered before and the food is OK anyway. But I'll likely never return and upset I spent the money and no refund.

Stopped in for some takeout. Picked up dinner for 4. 2 pulled pork sandwiches, a brisket sandwich, and a catfish sandwich. Of course, the catfish was a southern fried catfish po boy style. I got sides of mac and cheese, sweet potato fries, and collard greens. The perfect dinner to enjoy during last night's Dodgers game 1 victory against the Yanks

Horrible service. Was ignored the whole time. Server acted inconvenienced when our party ordered Desert after she figured the check out before even asking if we were done. Food was great!

Kid-friendliness: The staff was friendly and The food was delicious ?. I got pork ribs ,hot links and chicken wings. The barbeque sauce is also very good. I'm going back and I recommend you do too ?

I’m going to be real. Majority of the demographic eat there because we don’t feel like driving to Inglewood or slauson for a plate of soul food. I prefer Dulans on Crenshaw, woodys BBQ, simply wholesome but I have to be in the mood to drive out there. Y’all got me messed up when you served me cornbread that taste like baking soda, collard greens with no taste just hot water and peach cobbler with less crust. This hambones focus more on being an upscale restaurant rather the quality of its sides. The meat is flavorful but the BBQ sauce really carrying the food. The sides are lacking in taste, and portion sizes are a little off but I’m better off putting hotsuace on dirt. Overall 4.7/10 step your sides game up
