Second time coming to this location and sadly the worst experience. Came out for some brunch I was super excited to bring my husband because of how good the food was the first time. Walked in around 11:45am on 4/4/24 nobody was there to greet us, stood there for 5 mins no acknowledgment. We decided to go sit at a table. Someone was literally sat next to us and were given a menu and once again we weren’t even acknowledged. After another 5 mins we got up and just walked out. Won’t be coming here again.

Had to wait to be seated, not even greeted upon arrival. Once seated still had to wait for a server...over ten minutes. Once again not even acknowledged at least. Server we had was named Alyssa, she made excuses as to why there was a wait. Ordered our food, which came out before our drinks and water. Only giving a 3 ? because I've been to 3 other Kalaveras and this one sucks in comparison.

This place is usually pretty good but prepared for the noise! The food is good. I especially like the empanadas and tacos. Service has been hit and miss, but usually ok. I have been to three locations now and the Pasadena location is my favorite so far (except that parking). Drinks are really good as well and you have fun times with the shots!! Restrooms usually are clean as well.
I stopped by this establishment while waiting for the farmers market to open out back. Opting to sit at the bar, I encountered an unusual encounter when attempting to order a drink. The bartender cited my out-of-state license as a reason for refusal, citing concerns about liability. Frankly, it was the worst excuse I've heard. At 44, I'm well beyond legal age, and it was apparent I was older than the bartender. In fact, I could even recall the previous shop that occupied the bar's space from my childhood days walking those streets to school.Thankfully, the manager intervened and allowed me to be served. However, my experience didn't improve much from there. I ordered drinks and food, only to find both subpar. The food quality matched the bartender's attitude – disappointing.I'd advise steering clear of this establishment; it's simply not worth the money.

The food is good, the service is great. My only complaint is that I went with my family on Sunday buffet, and they charged me $20 for my 1 yr old and $20 for my 3 yr old. I am not cheap, but they do not eat $20 worth of food. We pay $40 for each adult, and that is fine with me. Like I said before, the food is good. We have been to brazilian steak houses, and they do not pay.
