I believe they are well intentioned but the execution was lacking both in terms of the food quality and service. The mango lassi was completely separated and tasteless.

I had a very disappointing experience at KARACHI BBQ TONIGHT. It took them 50 minutes to bring out my order, even though we arrived well before another group who turned out to be friends of the staff. They were served first while we were left waiting. Prioritizing friends over paying customers is unprofessional and unacceptable. I expected much better. Not planning to return.

It’s about time this restaurant takes serious steps to address the quality of its food.
I genuinely wanted to support you, especially because your restaurant name includes Karachi, which naturally sets certain expectations. But unfortunately, you’ve failed to deliver, not once, but twice.
Let me break it down:
1. The kebabs were a total disappointment. The meat didn’t taste fresh and had an odd, unpleasant flavor. This isn’t just about preference. Freshness is non-negotiable when it comes to meat. Thank you for replacing it with tikkas BUT
2. The tikkas need serious improvement. They’re often undercooked and lack flavor. Undercooked meat is not only unappetizing but also unsafe.
3. The chicken Karahi tasted more like Methi Karahi. I have to ask the chef; who puts methi in a traditional Karahi? This twist not only ruined the flavor but also confused the identity of the dish.
4. The only positive? The naan. They were soft, warm, and fresh. That was the only thing that met expectations.
I’m not trying to be harsh or unreasonable here. I just want to see this place succeed but that won’t happen unless consistency, food quality, and authenticity are prioritized. In the restaurant industry, those three things are everything.
Two visits, both disappointments. If you don’t step up, people will move on and the name won’t be enough to bring them back.

Restaurantji Recommends
Visiting from San Jose. Heard about the new place so ordered multiple items to try. Gola Kabab, Chicken Karahi and Chicken Tikka besides garlic naan and paratha.
Highlight for dinner was Gola Kabab. I would give it 6 stars if it was possible.
Will visit again next time we are in town

I visited the restaurant yesterday with my family. We know about the previous ventures, so we know the food would be good.
We ordered gola kabab, Chappli Kabab, bihari kabab, Chicken Tikka, Chicken Seekh Kabab, Mutton Karahi, Chicken Karahi, Bheja fry, haleem, Naan, and Paratha.
Gola Kabab: It was very good, well marinated, and tasted like an actual Karachi-style BBQ. The spice level was excellent.
Chapli Kabab was another great item on the menu. It was well marinated and well-cooked, and the spice level was excellent.
Chicken Tikka: I think they can do better. The chicken tikka was reheated and was not fresh. It was very dry and not well marinated.
Chicken Seekh Kabab was a little bit dry, but very well marinated.
Mutton Karahi: This item on their menu was far beyond delicious. I was expecting just another Karahi, like Indian style, or maybe something their competitors have, but NOPE, this did not disappoint me.
The meat was well done, with not too much oil, great seasoning, and a good quantity.
Chicken Karahi: It was the same thing, just like Karachi style. It was very well seasoned, and the chicken melted in your mouth. It was fresh.
Bheja Fry: I didn’t eat bheja, but my family members who had were amazed by the quantity and the perfect seasonings.
Haleem was another item that went beyond my expectations. I have had haleem in many restaurants, but something like this was absolutely delicious. In addition, I think if there had been chaat masala, it would’ve been great.
Paratha and Naan: These items were usual. I think Naan needs a little bit of work. It wasn’t what I was expecting.
Overall, this restaurant opened about a month ago. They have a long way to go. Taking criticism as an improvement would be a great start. I will absolutely recommend and return to the restaurant.
