Beautiful banquet style garlic rice with 3 different Meats with milk fish! It was so yummy, economical as we got a coffee too at the end for a fab price!! Loved it! Mama J is a lovely family run business with excellent customer focus! Highly recommended! ????????

Stopped in on our way to the Black History Museum and got a great lunch. Catfish nuggets, excellent crabcake sandwich and a side of collards. All wonderful. Very friendly ladies at the counter when I picked up the food. Reasonable prices.

Spent a quiet Sunday afternoon in Richmond, happened upon the spot before the line started. Very friendly staff, food was solid, tasty and hot. Would absolutely revisit.

The food was pretty good but the venue is small and the wait can be long!! Grabbed food to go and waited at the bar. Staff was good and food did not take too long. I would eat here again.

After hearing multiple people talk about Mama J’s I just had to go myself and I was not disappointed! The food was delicious, portion size was generous, and our waitress was friendly and personable. I will be back!
