I was excited to try Pupuseria Conalpa after hearing good things, but my experience was a bit disappointing. The food is okay. The regular masa is better the rice masa. The Rice masa pupusa felt as if it didnt have any filling and was more like a flat bread that was super chewey. I asked for chicharron with cheese, and I asked for lorroco to be added since their chicharron and cheese option doesn't have lorroco in it. Pupusas are tasty and packed with flavor—especially the revuelta and cheese! The curtido adds the perfect crunch. It gets busy, so service can be slow, but the food makes up for it. Great place for a casual bite and authentic Salvadoran taste.
